A Note From Our CEO –
For nearly two centuries, Garnier Thiebaut has been weaving linens in Gérardmer, France, in the heart of the Vosges region. Founded in 1833 through the marriage of two weavers, Virginie Thiebaut and Jean-Baptiste Garnier, the house was built on a rich legacy of expertise that continues to shape its identity today.
Established in the United States in 1997, Garnier Thiebaut USA is a linen designer and manufacturer that brings French savoir-faire to the hospitality industry through a tailored approach to bed, bath, table linens, and accessories. As part of HDM Industries, a leader in textiles, workwear, and hospitality-related services, we combine the responsive service of a human-scale team with the strength and capabilities of an international manufacturing group.
As a vertically integrated company, we oversee each stage of production with precision, from yarn dyeing and weaving to finishing, cutting, sewing, packaging, and final delivery. This complete command of the process allows us to maintain exceptional quality standards while creating linens that are as dependable in performance as they are refined in appearance.

Linens woven with CiCLO® significantly reduce the time and footprint of microplastic pollution relative to traditional synthetic fiber shedding and breakdown.
Most importantly, CiCLO® linens uphold the same performance and quality standards as conventional fabrics, maintaining durability, dyeability, and recyclability over time.

Through this technology, Garnier Thiebaut USA is able to service partners with products designed to reduce the impact of microplastic shedding during use, laundering, and disposal.
How It Works
CiCLO® in Action
When blended with virgin and recycled polyester fibers, CiCLO® active ingredients attract naturally present microorganisms that biodegrade CiCLO® fibers through microbial aspiration, essentially breaking down microplastics introduced to the environment.
Biodegradation occurs only during prolonged exposure to moisture and microorganisms; to ensure the durability and performance of linens woven with CiCLO® is never compromised during use.
Contextually, microplastic pollution is omnipresent in the global textile market. It is estimated that up to 18 million synthetic microfibers may be released per wash cycle.
Once synthetic microfibers become pollutants, they are virtually impossible to recapture and persist indefinitely. Alternatively, CiCLO® microfibers achieve over 90% biodegradation in under 4 years once introduced to natural environments.

Garnier Thiebaut USA offers RFID tracking solutions tailored specifically for hospitality partners to locate their linens in real-time. RFID smart labels can be discreetly woven into any Garnier Thiebaut USA product.
RFID eliminates and identifies opportunities wherein linens may be lost in transit between laundry facilities, and fulfillment channels, reducing operational costs & waste, while accurately analyzing inventory in seconds.
RFID readers can scan up to 12 meters away, each label stores custom insights including:

RFID at Your Property
Garnier Thiebaut USA works with partners to outfit their venues with RFID readers to trace all linens coming in and out. Our warehouses are equipped with scanners that measure and track inventory prior to shipment.
This visibility allows property managers and linen directors to keep track of all RFID products both on and off-site in real-time to accurately evaluate par levels and inventory on hand.

Our mills are powered by nuclear energy, hydropower, and solar power through an innovative self-consumption system ensuring our power is used locally and responsibly with fewer emissions. We leverage Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs) to ensure all wastewater is purified without the presence of toxic materials prior to being recycled into our natural waterways and systems.
From keeping beehives in our linen processing sites to re-purposing our own wastewater to generate hydro-power, Garnier Thiebaut linens are created with care and conscience.
