If you are not satisfied with a program for any reason after attending the first program meeting, you may request a full refund, transfer, or credit. After the second program meeting you may request a pro-rated refund or credit. All refund requests must be made prior to the end date of the program. Refund requests for one-day programs must be made 24 hours in advance. Read program descriptions carefully as some program fees are non refundable. Supply fees are non refundable. Please allow 2 weeks for refund process.

Garland’s Go

Be a part of one of the most unique holiday tree-lighting experiences in the Metroplex this year!

Set to Light Up the Night Thursday, Dec. 3 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Downtown Garland Square (between State and Main streets and Fifth and Sixth streets)

Garland Parks and Recreation will light up the crowd as well as the Christmas tree with glowing, color-changing, LED wristbands. This feature will allow festival goers to enjoy an interactive “glow with the show” experience as we light up the Downtown Square. As guests join around the Christmas tree, the amazing wristbands will be distributed. When the countdown begins, the crowd will come alive with bright colors, music, and celebration!

Event Details: • Snow Hills, Snowman Building, Photos with Santa, Craft and Gift Vendors, Holiday Foods, Children’s Trains, Children’s Crafts, Reindeer, and more will be available from 5:30 - 9:30 p.m.

• Tree Lighting at 7 p.m.

• Choir performances begin at 7:30 p.m.

• Event parking is free and available at the following locations: Central Library, Senior Center, First Baptist Church on Glenbrook, and DART on Walnut Street.

• A “Sensory Friendly Tree Lighting” for children and adults with sensory disorders will take place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, in the Downtown Square.

• The City of Garland light display will run each night from 5 to 10 p.m. through New Year’s Day.

Be a safe sitter! Learn the skills necessary to care for infants and children on a daily basis and in emergency situations. Training includes a workbook, CPR/First Aid, diapering, and feeding. Receive a completion card along with the knowledge and confidence to be the best babysitter you can be.

Miss Manners

Confidence is beautiful! Become a well rounded young lady while learning about posture, manners, table settings, and how to sit properly.

ID Cards & Fitness Passes ID Cards All drop in participants are required to purchase and scan a Participant ID Card when entering a City of Garland recreation center. A Participant ID Card form must be filled out for each person along with a valid picture ID and proof of residency.

Legal guardians must fill out and sign forms for participants under the age of 18.

Guardians may be required to prove guardianship. The ID Card is valid for one year.

Fitness Passes A Fitness Pass allows participants use of The Body Shops fitness areas and equipment.
