Saturday, February 7 The Atrium at the Granville Arts Center

We cordially invite you to attend the Sweetheart Masquerade Dance. Dads, grandads, and uncles, experience a magical evening with your special little one. The evening includes dinner, dancing, a professional 5x7 photo, and each little girl will receive a special gift.

Girls ages 3 - 7 take the dance floor from 5 - 7 p.m. and ages 8 - 15 from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $14 per person. Purchase tickets online, over the phone, or at any Garland recreation center. For more information, call 972-205-3090 or visit garlandparks.com.

If you are not satisfied with a program for any reason after attending the first program meeting, you may request a full refund, transfer, or credit. After the second program meeting you may request a pro-rated refund or credit. All refund requests must be made prior to the end date of the program. Refund requests for one-day programs must be made 24 hours in advance. Read program descriptions carefully, as some program fees are non refundable. Supply fees are non-refundable. Hop into spring EGG-citement! Kids ages up to 10 years old hunt for colorful candy and toy filled eggs. Bounce around in a jump house, go through the obstacle course, and load up on recreation activity information. Popcorn, sodas, and Pucker Powder will be available for purchase. Have an eye for photography?

Capture compelling still photos while getting to know Garland from a different point of view.

Shutterbugs of all ages can showcase their work for the community to enjoy. Photos submitted must be taken within the Garland city limits or by a Garland resident and may be up to 8” X 10” in size. All submissions must be mounted on poster board with a one inch border; one picture per board. Prizes will be awarded for first place in each category and best in show. All entries must be submitted to Holford Recreation Center from April 1 - April 11. Winners will be announced April 17. For more information, please call 972-205-2772 or hrc@garlandtx.gov.

Fitness 101

Build muscles the right way! Learn correct techniques for working out while gaining knowledge on how the body functions. This one hour fitness orientation targets teenagers looking to get in shape. ID Cards All drop in participants are required to purchase and scan a Participant ID Card when entering a City of Garland recreation center. A Participant ID Card form must be filled out for each person along with a valid picture ID and proof of residency.

Legal guardians must fill out and sign forms for participants under the age of 18.

Guardians may be required to prove guardianship. The ID Card is valid for one year.

Fitness Passes A Fitness Pass allows participants use of The Body Shops fitness areas and equipment. Benefits of a Fitness Pass include Body Fat Analysis, help setting fitness goals, and the use of cardio equipment, free weights, and weight machines. The Fitness Pass is valid for one year and includes access to the recreation center gymnasiums. See page 43 for locations.
