We are proud to bring you our feature event from The National Culinary Fare 2014, which was held at The Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau. NZMA hospitality and cookery students did an amazing job at bringing home the medals — 48 to be exact! For memorable pictures and more READ ON ...

Know Your Rights! Public Holiday Entitlements The weekly round up... Congratulations to Brandy, our Sylvia Park student who took out the award for Training Food and Beverage Service Person of the Year! Brandy performed outstandingly in all four events required, including Table Setting, Barista, Wine and Beverage Service, and the Classic Cocktail, and we're so proud of her achievement!

YourFare Rights The NewKnow Zealand Culinary 2014 kicked off on Sunday 17th August and ended on Tuesday 19 August, with students from all over NZMA competing! The venue for this years competition was the Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau. Students trained for long periods of time perfecting their skills in hope of gaining a medal. Overall NZMA did just this, with a medal haul that all can be proud of. Although NZMA did not get a ‘Gold’ medal, this proved hard for many at all to gain a Gold, leaving many with a respectable Silver. In total, NZMA received 18 x silver medals and 30 x bronze medals. Additionally two students from SPC were awarded high individual honours - Best in Show for Classic Cocktail and NZ Training F&B Person of the Year. Nothing short of AMAZING!!

Malcolm was taken on a personal tour of our awesome Campus and was treated to a preview of our talented students (Culinary Fare) cocktail skills. Malcolm was amazed at their skills and their professionalism – he got to taste test them and was pleased with the final product.
Thanks to Yogesh and Ray for setting the students up in the bar. Great job to Yasmin, Shirley and Jordan ( U guys ROCK!!) – I do believe we will be hearing a lot more from SkyCity!
