As we do final preparations for this “Meating Demand” Sale catalog, our Annual Production Sale, April 3rd, has just been completed. We are grateful for that success and recognize it was a “team effort” carried out by our customers, family, crew, and community. We are so pleased that we are all moving forward as we look forward to improving markets, green grass, and big groups of people getting together to enjoy fellowship and learn together! As always, our customers are the key focus of what we do every day!

As we look forward to our May 10th sale, we are offering 168 bulls in the 6th annual “Meating Demand” Sale. As the name suggests, the bulls selected last fall to be offered in this sale excel in the traits that are economically important to our customers, who retain ownership, or sell their cattle to feeders expecting them to perform well on a quality-based grid. These 15–21-month-old bulls are exceptional within the Angus population. We believe when you can access genetics in the top 8% for $B, top 7% $C, and top 12% for ROI, as with these bulls, you have a greater chance at profitability with multi-trait excellence. The demand for these genetics is unprecedented!

When we designed the first “Meating Demand’ Sale, we aimed to offer bulls at time when cow-calf producers were about to turn out bulls with their cows or heifers. From the first sale to our 6th sale, the emphasis is on calving ease, growth, and carcass merit in the bulls we offer. This strategy has worked because interest in this sale has increased each successive year.
