The Golden Globes set a great tone for the 2023 award show season! The Golden Globes have been a long-running ceremony that recognizes greatness in television and film Comedian and Emmy-winner Jerrod Carmichael hosted this year’s 80th ceremony in Beverly Hills on January 10th. Fan favorites were nominated including Elvis, Top Gun: Maverick, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, and more. Beloved actors and actresses were nominated including Austin Butler, Hugh Jackman, Margot Robbie, and Anya Taylor-Joy. At this year's Golden Globes, Zendaya won her first Golden Globe as best actress in a television drama series for her performance in Euphoria. Although notable, Zendaya is not the only first-time recipient of a Golden Globe Evan Peters also received his first Golden Globe as best actor in a mini-series for his role as Jeffrey Dahmer in the Netflix series Jennifer Coolidge won best supporting actress in a limited series for her character of Tanya in the HBO series White Lotus White Lotus was also nominated for four Golden Globes and ultimately won two of them.
