We are hopeful the next few months, with your assistance and support, will be a great opportunity for the agency to generate some much needed revenue. Though I realize it’s early to talk about the upcoming holiday season, I believe the products we are assisting our clients to produce could become some of the hottest selling gift items this year. On page two of this newsletter you will find pictures and information about the items we have been working on; beautiful silk scarves, ties, pocket squares, handbags, our coffee and creative holiday greeting
I realize there are individuals and families who are currently unable to make financial donations directly to the agency, but as you are purchasing holiday presents for your family, friends, staff or coworkers, please consider making the Garden Center “store” one of the primary spots where you do your shopping.
“...as you are purchasing holiday presents for your family, friends, staff or coworkers, please consider making the Garden Center “store” one of the primary spots where you do your shopping.” Another chance you have to positively impact our bottom line is through your contributions to and attendance at our 57th Annual
Fashion Show & Luncheon. We have started much earlier this year to attract sponsors, and garner donations for the event, and have set an attendance goal that is 20% higher than last year. We not only will make money directly from the luncheon, but it is a great opportunity to showcase the goods from Garden Gallery & Studio and Second Chance Thrift Shoppe. As you order gifts from other online sites, please remember that by using the iGive button, you will earn money for Garden Center on each purchase at no cost to you. Just visit www.iGive.com and select Garden Center as your organization of choice. Thank you again for your continued support of Garden Center Services.
GARDEN CENTER FAMILY SPOTLIGHT It’s that time again and GCS has what you need for every person on your list. Check out our Holiday Shopping Guide for amazing gifts that help Garden Center!

THANK YOU GCS DSPs!!!!
growArts is included in the special exhibit, CASE (Community Art/Social Enterprise), which “showcases the country’s most dynamic programs, artists, community activists, social entrepreneurs, designers and thinkers whose work tackles existing social problems-either through entrepreneurial concepts/ ventures or through artwork that sheds light on our society’s issues and finds ways to improve problems in our human and environmental conditions.”

The week of September 8th, was designated by the U.S. Senate as “National Direct Support Professionals Recognition Week.” Across the country, communities held events and activities to celebrate direct support professionals (DSPs) who provide essential daily support to enable people with disabilities and their families to live, work and participate fully in their communities. Garden Center honored our DSPs through a special week of raffles, Sunny visits, and individual celebrations at each site. We are so grateful to all of our DSPs for their dedication and the amazing job they do each and every day at Garden Center Services.
