Trucking Fitness Program Are You Up to Speed? This isn’t a foreign topic. Your company may even have one. A trucking fitness program. Now maybe not every trucking company has one, but the concept of supporting employees or in our case drivers' health is an approach to a happy healthy company nearly every other industry across the country uses. These programs focus on the physical health of employees by offering gym memberships, smoking cessation incentives, better snack choices, and other ways to get teams healthier. Now when it comes to a trucking fitness program that may not be the exact approach to driver health you should take, but if you aren’t taking an initiative to improve your driver health, you could be experiencing higher than necessary turnover rates, unhappy employees, more sick leave, poor performance reviews and just overall low morale for company culture.
The idea here is simple. First, keeping employees healthy means they don’t miss work as often. And second, healthy employees result in lower healthcare costs which equal lower insurance premiums. The cost of everything is only going up, and that includes insurance on your drivers and employees.

But as a trucking fitness company we believe that there is more to taking care of your drivers than just insurance premiums and healthcare costs, these are real people too. And it can be difficult to support your drivers day in and day out when you don’t see them on a regular basis and that is why we believe that you also need to show support mentally, emotionally, and socially.
Instead of looking at insurance premiums and the bottom line, many other companies are now focused on their employees' and drivers’ overall well-being because, well, it's the right thing to do. And, happy, engaged drivers help make for a successful company. What is losing your best drivers worth to you? What is constantly having to deal with the headache of hiring new drivers only to rehire more every single month or even week? And taking on these hires not because you are growing, but because you are trying to survive. Having a successful trucking fitness program means you support your drivers for the long haul and offer amenities that they can use on their terms in their environment. As a trucking fitness program provider, I see this often, companies overload drivers with health initiatives and as a result, they use none of it. It’s too much! Stop bombarding them with stuff, they don’t need twenty tools, they need one or two good ones used regularly. And when implemented correctly, you will not just see the ROI but the VOI as well- VALUE ON INVESTMENT.
