We are pleased to welcome you to our Annual Bull and Female Sale on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 1pm at 37195 285th Street, just 2 miles West of Geddes, SD, which begins our 111th year of being in the Hereford business.
We have sought after and purchased some of the most up to date genetics that the Hereford industry has to ofer. Our excitement for what is to come in 2026, 2027, and beyond, is sure to be contagious when you see the next crop of bulls! We strive to raise cattle that are reliable and easy calving, without sacrifcing hardiness or weight gain. Our hope is that the quality, afordability, and guarantee will exceed your expectations.
Bulls and bred heifers are available for viewing here at the ranch at any time prior to the sale. Additional information and videos will be available prior to the sale and can be viewed at www.GantHerefords.com.

Delivery
Load out your bull on sale day and receive a $50 discount, otherwise we will keep your bull free of charge and will start the delivery at our convenience in April. We will deliver free of charge within 300 miles. Load out your bred female on sale day is prefered or within 7 days.

Guarantee
All bulls are guaranteed for the first breeding season through September 1, 2025. Should a problem occur, contact us immediately, and if a replacement bull is available, he will be provided or a credit toward a bull will be given in next years sale, less salvage value.
Herd Health
Bulls have had a complete herd health program since birth. Prior to the sale, bulls have had two shots of Fusgoguard (hoof rot), Dectomax pour on, and all bulls have been semen tested by Dr. Brian Soulek, Platte, SD.
Liability
We will do our best to see that there are no accidents, but we will not be responsible for any accidents that may occur.

“Junior” as Lot 4 has been named since birth is out of the first heifer Mallory purchased from Rausch Herefords in 2021. This Homozygous Polled herd bull prospect was used on Mallory’s show heifers this summer and we cannot wait to see his calves!

Hereford Bred Heifers
This fancy group of Bred Hereford Heifers are going to add plenty of value to your herd. They are bred to Gant Enhance 232, a low-birth-weight Angus bull. All heifers were preg checked and are due to calve late March or early April. The heifers were poured last fall and in January they received their two scour shots. We will be selling your choice of one or more of Lots 37-50 which are all Registerable.

Certified Hereford Beef Index (CHB) Baldy Maternal Index (BMI)
BMI is a maternally focused index that is based on a production system that uses Hereford x Angus cross cows. This index uses sustained Cow Fertility, Weaning Weight, Mature Cow Weight, Milk, Dry Matter Intake, Carcass Weight, Marbling and Rib-eye Area. This index is geared to identify Hereford bulls that will be profitable when used in a rotational cross with mature commercial cows.
CHB is a terminal sire index that is built on a production system where Hereford bulls are mated to mature commercial Angus cows where all progeny will be targeted for the finishing phase. This index uses Carcass Weight, Marbling, Rib-eye Area, Average Daily Gain, Dry Matter Intake and Backfat.
