The interactions you have with your professors are among the most important experiences at Gannon. Our expert faculty love teaching and researching and are here to inspire you to question, learn and achieve.

FIND YOUR POSSIBILITIES Think about what you love to do, where you imagine yourself working, or what you want to accomplish in the future. It’s all possible at Gannon. We offer 68 bachelor’s degrees and 41 minors to customize your education. Each of our majors include opportunities to work and learn in hands-on, professional settings.

LEARN FROM THE EXPERTS Have you ever had a teacher who significantly impacted your life? Gannon University’s professors know that their first priority is your success. Gannon has a low 13:1 student-to-faculty ratio that allows your professors to easily get to know you and learn about your goals, accomplishments and challenges. You’ll feel comfortable contributing to class discussions, speaking with professionals in the field, and collaborating with your professors to plan your career.

RESEARCH SIDE BY SIDE How far can you take your research at Gannon? Maybe into the pages of a national journal, on the list of registered patent owners, or to competitions across the country. Your research might take you 30 feet below the surface of the Caribbean Sea to observe marine organisms and coral reefs, 4,000 years into the past at an archaeological dig in Jordan, or to the field to develop NASA mission-related instruments for near-space exploration. At Gannon, your professors learn beside you and work with you to advance your knowledge and enrich your experience.

JERRY CLARK, PH.D.

Gannon University Faculty Member Meet Jerry Clark, Ph.D., associate professor and chair of Gannon’s criminal justice program and retired FBI special agent with 27 years of combined experience in the FBI, DEA, NCIS and parole. Clark is one of our many faculty experts who brings real-world experience into the classroom to inspire the possibilities our students believe in.

CLASSROOMS GET REAL

You discover who you want to become through real-world classroom experiences. Our family of faculty, staff and students come together to pursue bold opportunities, tackle challenging questions, and make a difference in the world around us. We believe in providing experiences that will meaningfully shape your career, and they are right here in any of our three colleges. COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND BUSINESS

Students apply what they’ve learned in the classroom to projects with real-world application.

Faculty and students volunteer at Major League Baseball’s 2019 All-Star Week.

The College of Engineering and Business includes new cybersecurity and cyber engineering programs that will be accompanied by the upcoming launch of the Institute for Health and Cyber Knowledge. Here you will learn to fight real-world cybersecurity threats. Learning through experience is a common theme at Gannon. For example, we’ve developed an entrepreneurial space within our Center for Business Ingenuity to help you become a successful business owner with the aid of experts. Our students are at the controls of drones, and working with advanced robots to simulate laparoscopic surgeries right on campus. Would you prefer to take your learning beyond campus parameters? The College of Engineering and Business offers dual programs and learning abroad options through partner institutions in Germany.

We have a Forensic Investigation Center led by former FBI and ATF agents, who take you from crime scene to courtroom. You can work at Gannon’s awardwinning radio station, newspaper or literary magazine. In addition, we offer internships with a number of nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies or corporations in Erie’s downtown area. We also have a vibrant study abroad program and travel courses.

MOROSKY COLLEGE OF HEALTH PROFESSIONS AND SCIENCES

The Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences prepares you to meet the health and scientific needs of the community. We blend classroom teaching with handson learning opportunities. For example, students study tropical marine biology in the Bahamas or occupational therapy in Ecuador. Others participate in our student-run pro bono pediatric occupational therapy or adult physical therapy clinics and conduct research alongside faculty in the laboratory, field or clinical environment. Many of these students have multiple job offers or acceptance to graduate programs to choose from before graduation.
