TUSENFRYD AMUSEMENT PARK TO LAUNCH ITS 8TH ROLLERCOASTER NEXT YEAR / From

2022 to 2024, Tusenfryd amusement park in Norway is investing NOK 250 million (around 25 million euros) in upgrades and new attractions (the largest investment in the park's history) that will transform it into a theme park with new and clearly defined zones. The first new addition will debut next April when the park’s 35th season starts, and it’s a major one: a 10-million-euro inverted triple launch rollercoaster by Gerstlauer, the park’s most expensive attraction of all time. Riders will sit in floorless cars that are suspended under the track and they’ll experience 3 accelerations during the ride. “We started the groundwork for the new rollercoaster already in March 2020. Then came the pandemic, and the process was put on hold. The track should be fully assembled soon, and other technical work will then start and continue throughout the winter,” says the park’s managing director Bjørn Håvard Solli. The new addition will be Tusenfryd’s 8th rollercoaster. “Compared to other parks in Northern Europe, we now have a respectable selection of rollercoasters. With the new attraction, we are joining the absolute top tier on the continent, and we are really looking forward to the public's reactions to the new ride” Solli adds.

IL PROSSIMO ANNO TUSENFRYD AVRÀ IL SUO OTTAVO COASTER / Dal 2022 al 2024 il parco norvegese Tusenfryd ha programmato investimenti per 250 milioni di corone (circa 25 milioni di euro, la cifra più alta di tutta la sua storia) che andranno in migliorie e nuove attrazioni grazie alle quali si trasformerà in parco a tema, con aree nuove e ben definite. La prima nuova aggiunta debutterà il prossimo aprile con l’avvio della 35a stagione, ed è una novità importante: un coaster supended a triplo lancio prodotto da Gerstlauer, al prezzo di 10 milioni di euro, l'attrazione più costosa di sempre del parco. I rider siederanno su vetture prive di pavimento ‘sospese’ sotto le rotaie, e durante il giro in giostra vivranno tre accelerazioni. “I lavori per la nuova attrazione erano cominciati già a marzo 2020. Poi è arrivata la pandemia e abbiamo dovuto sospenderli. Presto il tracciato dovrebbe essere completamente assemblato per poter così cominciare con altri lavori tecnici che continueranno per tutto l'inverno”, spiega l’Ad del parco Bjørn Håvard Solli. La nuova giostra sarà l'ottavo coaster per Tusenfryd. “Rispetto ad altri parchi del Nord Europa, ora abbiamo un numero ben rispettabile di coaster. Questo nuovo, ci fa entrare tra quelli di massimo livello in Europa e non vediamo l'ora di scoprire le reazioni del pubblico quando lo proverà”, aggiunge Solli.
