Our staff is here to help you choose a program, register and keep going once class begins. You don’t need to have all the answers to take the next step.. So go ahead: circle the class that caught your eye, call a friend who might join you, or stop by and talk with us. Something new and exciting could start this spring. We can’t wait to meet you. Best Regards, Doreen Bridges - Galveston College Continuing Education Director, and the Continuing Education Team Applied Technology Center 7626 Broadway

Lucille Allen

Stephon Beard

My name is Lucille Allen. I am an LVN, CPR Instructor, and CNA Instructor with over 20 years of experience. I have a true passion for teaching and nursing, and I love helping others discover new ways to succeed. My personal motto is: Failure is not an option.

My name is Stephon Beard, RN, BSN, and I’m proud to be from La Marque, Texas (BOI). I graduated from La Marque High School, Class of 2009, and went on to earn three degrees from Galveston College in General Studies, Nursing, and Bachelor of Nursing. I specialize in Pediatrics, a field that brings me great joy.

CNA Instructor

I’m an animal lover who enjoys spending time outdoors in the winter and staying indoors during the summer. I’m happily married. I have three grown children, all of whom are successful professionals, and I’m blessed with seven amazing grandchildren who are each on their own path to greatness. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to work at Galveston College—it stands as one of my proudest personal achievements.

CNA Instructor

My inspiration to become a nurse came from my mother, who’s been a nurse for nearly 30 years, and from summers spent caring for my uncle with MS. I enjoy fishing, playing Madden, and cooking BBQ, but most of all, I love spending time with my family. I find happiness in others’ success, the laughter of children, and warm hugs. My favorites include apple caramel pops, banana pudding, and a perfectly cooked steak.
