December 8 A Taizé candlelight service of prayer, silence, and song with the theme “Advent - the Coming Light” will take place at 4:00pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church-Gallup. Open to all. A Holiday Tour of Homes Tour beautiful holidaydecorated homes in the Gallup community. The evening begins with a Meet & Greet at 4:30pm at the Grace Bible Church, 222 Boulder Drive, where refreshments will be served. At 5:00pm the tour limos and vans will depart. Tours will end at Grace Bible Church. Tickets are $20 per person. The event is a fundraiser for the Ups & Downs Relay For Life Team of the American CancerSociety. Community Breastfeeding Support group is open to all women in the Gallup-McKinley County area. The group meets at the Octavia Fellin Children’s Library from 9:30am to 10:30am on every second and forth Saturday mornings. There are peer support volunteers and generally a midwife, nurse, or lactation consultant present.
The City of Gallup’s Sustainable Gallup Board meets the first Monday of each month at 3:30pm to 5:00pm at the Octavia Fellin Library. Community members concerned about environmental issues are welcome. Call Bill Bright at 505-722-0039 for information.

Crownpoint Rug Auction: The auction is scheduled every second Friday of each month at Crownpoint Elementary School. The doors open at 4:00pm for weavers and Arts & Craft vendors to set up. Crownpoint Elementary will have their monthly Navajo Taco Sale at 4:30pm. The buyers review the rugs from 4:30pm until 6:30pm. The Actual Rug Auction begins at 7:00pm.
The Plateau Sciences Society regularly meets on the third Sunday of the month at 2:00pm. PSS programs are varied and deal with the history, geology, geography, the diverse cultures of our region, and environmental concerns in our area. Join us for stimulating conversation and discussion about shared concerns. The community is always welcome. Light refreshments are always served.
