Grille October Chef’s Table - Tastes of Autumn Wednesday, October 9th at 6pm Beginning in October, Executive Chef Brian Steiner will be hosting an exclusive MEMBERS ONLY “Chef’s Table” for 16 of our members in the Private Dining Room. The price for the dinner will be $75 per person and will NOT include alcohol (although Chef will be offering pairing suggestions throughout the evening).

October is our first Chef’s Table with additional opportunities each month through May. It is our goal to manage it so every member interested will have a chance to participate. If your significant other will be joining you, you will be selected together.

Please note there will be a 48 hour cancellation policy in the event you are unable to attend.

2013 Troon Cup Each year Troon puts together a multi-day showcase of one of their properties in the annual Troon Cup. This year’s event was held in Cape Cod at the beautiful Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club. The Gallery took two teams to battle it out over two rounds against clubs across the country as well as Panama and Bahrain. Most importantly it is a great tradition bringing the Troon families together for fun, friendship and camaraderie. Check out the leader board and clubs that participated HERE. The prestigious Troon Cup will be held here in December of 2014!!

p at Ocean Edge Chicks Rule!

Last year at the Troon Cup, at Troon Country Club, Mrs Lane, Cohen and Halpern were enjoying their time but found themselves a ways away from the lead. They over heard the ‘Makai Boys’ make a comment that they can’t even beat a ladies team (all in good fun!). Our ladies team turned around and said, “we’re that team and care to make a wager for 20?” Needless to say The Gallery Ladies walked away $20 richer!

This year at the Cape, Mrs. Anderson, Parker and Huff tracked the Makai Boys down and asked if they would like a rematch. Again, The Gallery Ladies walked away with another signed $20 bill!

Good luck to our ladies next year...keep the tradition going!

‘Rev’ Baker Air Force Am We would like to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the 1st Annual “Rev” Baker Air Force Am on Sunday! With the help of participants and donations, we were able to raise almost $6,000 to benefit the Folds of Honor Foundation. The exciting part about this is that we raised enough money to provide a family member of a fallen soldier with a scholarship! This is a wonderful achievement that would not have been possible without such generosity! We were truly honored to have the 612 AOC from Davis-Monthan participate in our event!

Pool Maintenance Schedule

The swimming pool will undergo maintenance October 7th through the 13th. We will be draining the pool, acid washing the bottom and cleaning the perimeter tile. We have made arrangements for you to use the Hilton El Conquistador swimming pool during this time. Contact Michael for more details.

Community New Partnership We are pleased to announce an exciting new association with Pulte Homes and Del Webb at Dove Mountain! At the far west end of Dove Mountain Blvd (roundabout), Pulte has begun to develop the land to build an active adult, 55+ community. The partnership with Del Webb allows their home buyers to have a limited number of memberships (one per household) to The Sports Club. We believe this relationship will blossom and allow us the opportunity to upgrade many of these new homeowners to Full Golf Membership!
