Around the Club 165 to Ace

Congratulations to John Malone on his hole in one on May 15th! Mike Bixby, Steve Gershman and Marc Lobdell watched him ace the 7th hole of the North Course from 165 yards. Well done Mr. Malone!

Once Never Enough

Greg Burger just recorded his 2nd Hole In One on #7 this year! Mr. Burger is lighting the course up!

Member Art Show Tuesday November 10th

Calling all Gallery artists!

We would like to invite all interested Gallery Golf & Sports Members to participate in our Gallery Member Art Showing this fall!

Caroline Crooks & Cindy Smith suggested we revisit this event from 2009 and we are so excited at the possibilities!

On Tuesday, November 10th we want to celebrate the Artisans of The Gallery by showcasing your art!

We are asking our members to share their interests, be it painting, jewelry, photography, quilting or sculpture to name a few!

Along with the Art Show, we will enjoy a wine tasting and Club hosted hors d’oeuvres for the membership to come together and view your collections.

We will begin to ask for commitments late July to prepare for the event.

If you are interested in participating or have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Jenny Price at 520-744-4700 x4118.

Troon Associate Appreciation Week Gallery Associates were treated to breakfast, lunch, snacks, pizza and a bowling party throughout last week. They worked very hard this season and it was great showing our appreciation and seeing them have fun for jobs well done!

Summer Cart Program In an effort to provide a savings opportunity for our summer residents similar to that for our seasonal residents, we are offering a Golf Car Program for the summer months.

By registering for this program, you will no longer have to pay cart fees every time you use a cart‌you will have unlimited use of the golf cart, plus it includes a push cart if you choose to walk.

This will run from June 1, 2015 thru October 31, 2015 and the cost is $975 for Family and $650 for Single.

Please notify the Golf Shop if you would like to be a part of this program.

GalleryFIT Member Treadmill Challenge This Member-Only challenge will consist of using a treadmill or walking/running outside. The Treadmill Challenge will be tracked by DISTANCE. At the end of the month, the top 3 participants with the most miles will receive a prize.

Cardio Machine Treadmill Rules and Regulations 1. Challenge begins on 6/1 and runs through 6/30.

2. Sign up at the Sports Club- Front Desk.

3. Participants will compete individually.

4. There is NO limit to the amount of activity that one does throughout the day.

5. There will be a leaderboard.

6. Jonathan will email you the details on how to log your miles.

7. Have fun and let the “games” begin!

Basketball Camp

June 1st-5th • 7:00-8:30am • Ages: 10-13 Every coach is looking for a player that can do the FAB 4.

Protect the ball; Play with quickness and intensity, play smart and finish the play with excellence!

Each session will consist of the following, but will be specialized for each group’s skill level: • Ball-handling • Individual Offense • Shooting • Defense • Team Offense- depending on the skill level • Games Jonathan Alexander has coached and directed basketball camps for 9 years with NBC Camps in several states and abroad. Jonathan uses the NBC Camps (largest and most popular overnight basketball program in the world) curriculum to teach the fundamentals of basketball.

Participants must register by Friday, May 29th.

Space is limited. Cost: $60.

Swim Clinics for Kids June 1st-11th Mondays & Thursdays 3:00-3:30pm – Ages 5-7 3:30- 4:00pm – Ages 8-12

Jen is an Arizona native that has been teaching swim for more than 15 years. She has taught private and semi-private lessons to both swimmers and non-swimmers of all ages. She has also coached a high school team here in Tucson for a dozen years. Some of the athletes she has worked with have gone on to compete at the college level.

When she is not instructing swimmers, she competes in both open water events as well as US Masters Swimming.

Participants must register by Friday, May 29th.
