Around the Club 9 & Dine

Thank you all who came out and had a great afternoon on the course while decked out in your favorite team’s garb! The winners were Larry & Joyce Chamberlain, Bill & Sheri Pierce, Greg & Jeannie Symons & Judy Jacobson with a score of 32! Pam & Tom Gerber won the best golf cart decoration and Jeannie Symons won the best outfit supporting her Red Raiders of Texas Tech!!

A Barrage of Holes in One! James Greenlee Dr. Greenlee started the barrage of aces on Monday, March 14th on the South Course from 164 yards playing with some ‘usual suspects’...John Beamish, Alan Rothberg and Mark McCue. Do we see a Golf Book from this group in the future?

Ken Bobbe Mr. Bobbe may have had some leftover luck of the Irish when he holed out for an ace on #12 of the North Course on Friday, March 18th from 176 yards. Witnesing were playing partners John Tiesi, Bill Elsner and Ty Thayer. This was Mr. Bobbe’s sixth hole in one...the last one he had was on the same hole in 2009. Mr. Bobbe has witnessed 11 holes in one so his wife shared the moral of the story, “Play golf with Ken!”

Jack Martin Mr. Martin was close on the heels of Mr. Bobbe’s hole in one the following day, Saturday, March 19th on #16 South from 138 yards. Mr. Martin celebrated with Jim Haleem, Mike and Tyler Qualio.

Neil Samis Mr. Samis made his hole in one experience with wife Brenda and son Trevor. Trevor was the only one to actually see it go in the hole. Mr. Samis recorded his hole in one on #16 of the South Course from 140 yards on Tuesday, March 22nd.

Susan Heritage Ms. Heritage is keeping a low profile, but we wanted to show off her accomplishment of a hole in one on the South Course at #14 from the Blanco tees a week ago today on March 24th. Witnessed by her husband Mark Schacter and playing partners Mike & Evelyn Kitay.

Golf fitness isn’t about looking like a bodybuilder or the best player on Tour. It’s about being fit to play the game at an individual’s highest level and doing so without causing injury. It’s about understanding how a body’s limitations can influence the golf swing and how to address those limitations through the proper channels; whether it’s through swing instruction, physical rehabilitation or strength and conditioning exercise. It’s about understanding the latest technology and how that technology can be implemented to increase performance.

Training Team TROY PEARSON BS, TPI CERTIFIED GOLF FITNESS PROFESSIONAL - Graduated from the University Of Arizona with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. Troy is a National Champion Mountain Biker and a 13X Arizona State Champion Track Cyclist. Troy has been a fitness professional for nearly 30 years and has successfully trained clients of all skill levels and ages.

DAVID BENNETT—Many of us love the game of golf even with its numerous challenges.

Golf requires flexibility, power, and balance. To continue to enjoy the game, we will all need strength , a nutritious diet, and the three variables mentioned above. For the past 16 years, David has been enabling his clients to do just that. He has degrees from the University of Maryland and New York University and is TPI and ACE certified.

DAWN FORMOE BHSc, CI-CPT, POWER TRAINER for ELITE ATHLETES, EXERCISE NUTRITION, TPI CERTIFIED GOLF FITNESS PROFESSIONAL- Graduated from the prestigious Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, University of Arizona, with a Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences. Over the past 15 years Dawn has trained elite athletes in university level collegiate sports, as well as weekend hobbyists, so they can perform and feel their absolute best. Being a golfer for over 30 years, Dawn has a clear understanding of the game and its physcial demands. She has dedicated the past seven years of her career at the Gallery Sports Club helping golfers acheive their goals and more.
