Bill Nielsen shot 75 on the South Course on Monday, July 7th….including a (-1) 35 on the Front!!!!

Will Barrett shot one of his better rounds of 85 alongside Mr. Nielsen.

Jane Huff, birdied 4 holes in a row on the South Course—7, 8, 9 & 10!

Lucky 13 John Romeo wasn’t psyched out by playing on July 13th! In fact, he liked the date so well he birdied #14 and then holed out for an ace #15 of the North Course. He made his hole in one from 149 yards using an 8-iron in front of his son Jace Romeo and fellow member Marv Quirt.

Kristie’s Tournament

At the LPGA South Western Cup at the Riverwalk Golf Club in San Diego.

Kristie finished 3rd, 2 shots from first – 75, 73.

Putting was great, hit 10 greens the last day and had 5 birdies.

She is getting her game ready to play in the Assistants Championship, Women’s Championship and Senior Championship the end of July at Oro Valley Country Club. Paul is too as defending Senior Champ!!!

Gallery Troon Cup Teams Congratulations to the following members for earning their way onto the two teams which will represent The Gallery as we host this prestigious annual Troon event December 3 – 5, 2014: Kevin Hustek; Steve Gershman; David Raffety; Laurie Smith; Meridith Schrader and Wynn Clark.

The Race for the Troon Cup was contested over this past season of member events. The events were assigned point values and based on the participation and performance of each member in these events, points were earned.

The Troon Cup hosts teams from Troon-managed clubs from around the world.

Comprised of a club professional and three members, teams compete each year at a different Troon –managed club. The first two in which The Gallery was involved were held at Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale in November of 2012 and The Ocean Edge Golf Club on Cape Cod last September.

The Gallery is proud to host the 2014 Troon Cup and show off our club to at least 60 teams from around the world!!

The Gallery Nine Hole Ladies League has moved to Early Wednesday mornings!

Please sign up in advance by going to the Members Only site and clicking on Events, sign up under GWGA, 9 holes or just contact the Golf Shop directly at 520-744-4700.

From now until the end of August we will play in the GWGA 7:30am shotgun, please check-in in the Golf Shop for your hole assignment!

As we work to build our group we want to remind everyone that we do not require a big commitment - if it happens that you can only play with us one Wednesday a month – that is ok!

If you do not have a handicap – that is ok! We just want you to have fun, play a little golf and meet new people!

Now that we will be playing in the morning, pace of play needs to be our top priority!

Please know that READY GOLF! needs to be our middle name Another fun option to consider is participating in the Summer Par 3 events that the club offers every other Thursday afternoon! Take a look at the schedule on our event calendar – this is a great way to meet other members in a casual setting!

As a reminder, if you plan to play or practice The Gallery is closed on Tuesdays, so please pick up your clubs by Monday evening.

Please plan to join us afterwards with the group from the GWGA in the Gallery Restaurant for a cold drink and a bite to eat if you have the time!

Troon Summer Series We are happy to announce a Summer Troon Travel Series continues! We have 3 remaining dates this summer, where we have prearranged golf to have some fun away from The Gallery! A member of the Golf Professional Staff will be accompanying each group, and to facilitate any games that may take place.

But, we need at least 24 people to sign up for each date, and 30 days in advance.

We will send out a reminder email, so let us know if you would like to play!
