Hospitality students inspired by opportunities in the King Valley

First year and second year students undertaking the Certificate course in Kitchen Operations recently experienced excursions to the King Valley. Second year students undertook a pasta and gnocchi making course at the La Travola cooking school under the expertise of Katrina Pizzini. First year students toured through Lancemore Estate, enjoyed cheese tasting at Milawa Cheese and ate their way through a delicious lunch at Christmont Winery. All students gained inspiration and appreciation of the hospitality venues in our local region.

Remembrance Day - Friday 11th November Remembrance Day marks the day the guns went silent in WWI. As a school we will remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. There will be 1 minute silence at 11am during recess to reflect on those servicemen and women. A wreath will be layed in a ceremony at our ANZAC memorial on behalf of the Galen community, while Mr Arcuri and our 2023 College Captains will represent the school at the Remembrance Day service at the local cenotaph. Make sure you support the R.S.L Remembrance Day Red Poppy Appeal by purchasing a Red Poppy at the Main Office. 1
