Year 12 Celebrate!
Last Friday Year 12 students began celebrating their final days of formal classes with a touch of colour, in the form of crazy hats and coloured socks. On Monday the vibrant cohort stepped it up a notch in an array of creative costumes, before the formality of their final Farewell Assembly on Tuesday morning. It was pleasing for the students and their teachers alike to finish classes on a high note, before Year 12 VCE students will sit their final exams. In addition to students completing exams, Galen’s connections to the wider Wangaratta Community have seen full time employment placements for some of our senior students to local businesses including Rinaldos, Londrigan, Paulie’s Corner and Wangaratta Motor Group to name a few. Our VCAL, VET and school-based apprenticeships program with the support of the careers and pathways team have developed the skills and knowledge of our students to go onto also achieve apprenticeships ranging from cabinet making, auto electricians and butchery to building & construction, community services & individual support.
