The Southeast Museum of Photography’s primary purpose is educational outreach. As a department of Daytona State College, the Museum sits on a cultural intersection between the campus and the surrounding community and endeavors to provide educational opportunities for both. An outgrowth of Daytona State College’s active photography program, the Southeast Museum is the only museum in the Southeast devoted entirely to photography. The museum hosts changing exhibits of historical and contemporary photography as well as lectures, film screenings, education programs for adults and children, print viewing in its permanent collection and study in its extensive library.
