LIFE

UNDER year : 2024

type : Communal Amenities Architecture Project Life Under thrives in the bustling heart of Tanjong Pagar, a vibrant corner of Singapore that pulses with life day and night. Surrounded by towering skyscrapers, this once verdant community has undergone a remarkable transformation, infused with a playful spirit and bold business ventures. Here, amidst the urban hustle, Life Under stands as a beacon of innovation, offering shelter, amenities, and entertainment that enrich the communal space. Despite the dense high-rises crowding around it, the essence of Life Under remains—a breath of fresh air amid the concrete jungle, preserving its unique identity as a welcoming retreat from the urban chaos.

The Experience when roaming between these buildings aren’t only filled with joy from the playfullness of the form but also the small communal multipurpose spaces that enhance current site activities. These activities can be utilized as resting spaces or busking spaces.

Designing this building I intended to enhance current site activities and ensure to maintain the essence of being a breathable space amongst the high rises. Designing with the aim of how each and every space can be further utilized for other purposes. The idea of a duality space comes into mind where a space is given one functionality in the day while turns into another function at night. Such as a library in the day and a pub at night.

“ Walkable and playable roof “ From this idea the roof plays a role as a structure that protects and allows movement above while using sustainable materials The use of brick is due to its unmatched characteristics in terms of tactility, availability, and performance, especially as protection and insulation against the harsh sun.

YDA Dark Organic year : 2023

type : Interior Design Striving for a harmonious blend of work and leisure, individuals seek an environment that promotes relaxation and tranquility. The Dark Organic Industrial Interior style emerges as an ideal solution, as its fusion of raw and organic elements evokes a unique sense of both hardship and peace. While the style exudes a somewhat masculine aura, it also celebrates the beauty of exposed materials and emanates a transatlantic-inspired atmosphere. Drawing inspiration from dream houses and countryside residences with a modern urban twist, this design style offers a captivating and versatile aesthetic.

Design Style : Dark Organic Industrial Style Brief Description : The core concept of this design centers around utilizing a range of dark to light-toned wood, complemented by black and grey stone materials in both polished and unpolished forms. This careful selection of materials results in an interior that exudes an earthy and modern urban ambiance. Darker tones are strategically employed not only to accentuate natural textures but also to celebrate organic life forms, instilling a sense of harmony and connectivity with nature. Terrace
