GEORGIA 811 GEOFENCING
APRIL 1 30, 2025
Campaign HighlightsThe campaign delivered a total of 631,424 impressions and generated 1,400 clicks, resulting in a CTR of 0.22%—right in line withindustry benchmarks for geo-targeted display advertising. Top-performing days included Tuesday (369 clicks), Friday (200), and Saturday (197), showing consistent weekday and weekend engagement. Ace Hardware stood out as the top-performing location with 580 clicks and a 0.22% CTR, while Lowe’s and Home Depot also drove steady traffic throughout the flight.
Key TakeawaysPerformance was well-balanced across the week, with peak engagement in the midweek and weekend. Smaller regional retailers like Ace Hardware showed particularly strong results, reinforcing the value of a diverse retail location mix. The geo-fencing tactic effectively reached users in relevant, real-world environments, driving measurable mobile engagement at scale.
RecommendationsWe recommend continuing to target high-performing locations such as Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Ace Hardware, while also testing newstore types such as garden centers or regional hardware suppliers. To push performance even further, consider testing updated creativeassets to increase CTR above 0.25%. Adding a retargeting layer could also help re-engage mobile users post-visit and direct them to tools and resources like “Call Before You Dig” appointment scheduling or safety information.

GEORGIA 811 GEOFENCING SUNBELT
October 14 November 15, 2025
Targeting attendees during the Sunbelt Expo event on October 14 through October 16, the Geo-Fence campaign utilized precise location targeting in a radius around the expo, successfully promoting Georgia 811’s messaging to contractors, homeowners, home renovators, and more relevant audience members who attended the expo.
For a month after the expo, we retargeted these attendees, reminding them of the services and guidance Georgia 811 provides to the communities in the state, by utilizing the same creative and messaging that the audience was already warmed up to and could recognize.
In total, the campaign earned 457,658 impressions and 603 clicks during the month, with strong impressions incurred during the Sunbelt Expo, with the bulk of impressions being earned in Moultrie, where the event took place. After the event, attendees located throughout Georgia in towns including Albany, Macon, Hertford, and more were retargeted, as well as attendees located beyond the event.
