ACMT™ Advanced Climate Management Technology is FXR’s proprietary collection of dry mesh venting, dual-layered HydrX Pro™ laminates and seam sealed linings, creating a Dual Layer Moisture Shield. This elite combination dramatically improves an outerwear garment’s ability to maintain waterproofness, breathability, reduce condensation, and manage the inner micro-climate zone between the body and the garment by creating a dual moisture shield against the damp and cold. FXR’s ACMT™ HydrX Pro™ combination is guaranteed to keep you dry, warm and comfortable during high intensity rides.

HydrX™ is FXR’s exclusive Single Layer Moisture Shield that is applied to the outer shell of FXR products.

HydrX™ is applied as a single layer laminate in mid-level FXR garments and a single layer coating in entry level FXR garments

F.A.S.T. insulation is made from an expanded, low-density polyethylene foam membrane that offers buoyancy assistance for up to two hours. The floatation membrane construction has excellent insulation properties, even when wet, which is integral should you be submerged. The F.A.S.T. membrane is also moisture resistant and lightweight, which allows the user to retain excellent warmth and mobility.

IMPORTANT – FXR jacket and pants with F.A.S.T. must be worn together as a suit to achieve buoyancy properties. Additionally, F.A.S.T. items will be rendered ineffective in adverse conditions such as strong water currents. F.A.S.T. equipped products provide exceptional mobility, warmth, style, and attention to detail while offering buoyancy properties, but are NOT COAST GUARD APPROVED.

FXR’s Thermal Flex™ insulation is a powerful blend of polyester fiber fill that provides exceptional warmth and flexibility at any temperature. Unlike other fiber fills, which often become stiff in cold weather, our Thermal Flex™ insulation provides superior comfort, mobility and warmth season after season, wet or dry.

Our trade-marked insulation is used in both fixed and removable liner systems, in both jackets and pants meaning all of our products come with unbeatable heat retention abilities.

Omni Stretch™ shell material provides maximum stretch and mobility, while allowing the shell material to take impacts from trees and rocks, with minimal chance of snagging or tearing. Omni Stretch™ is extremely durable and provides the greatest amount of stretch in a rugged shell material in the industry. Available in select premium FXR Jackets, Pants and Monosuits.

COLD INSULATED RATING ICONS MILD WEATHER / AGGRESSIVE RIDING GEAR A value of 1 has no thermal insulation and is suitable for mild climates or situations where intensive perspiration occurs.

COLD WEATHER / LOW ACTIVITY RIDING GEAR Values between 7-10 have extremely high thermal properties and are able to withstand extreme temperatures, well below -40°C/F and will keep you warm during sedentary outdoor activities.

SHELL & FIXED LINING COMBINED INSULATION RATING If the item is a 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 (indicating it has a removable liner), both the “SHELL” and “COMBO” (combined) value of the shell and liner will be displayed.

BOOT STIFFNESS SCALE FXR rates its boots for warmth and stiffness to allow riders to select the boot that most suits their riding style and preferences. A stiffness rating of 10 indicated maximum rigidity and support for aggressive riding, while a stiffness rating of 4-5 indicated more flexibility for comfort and ease of walking/casual use.

MOBILITY UNRESRICTED

Cold incapacitation begins to set in during the first 10 minutes of immersion. Loss of use of fingers/arms/legs leads to swim failure, and eventually drowning, if the rider is not able to get out of the water quickly and is not wearing a floatation suit.

RAPID DRAINAGE

Each gallon of water that is trapped inside the suit is equal to an additional 10lbs of weight, which can make survival and exiting the water extremely difficult, especially on thin ice.

Rapid Drain inserts in the jacket/pants allow water to drain as the rider exits the water, reducing the weight and effort required to exit as well as reducing the risk that the ice will break through again.

ESCAPE ASSIST

F.A.S.T™ Insulation retains buoyancy properties for up to 2hrs, and is strategically positioned within the suit to allow unrestricted movement, both on the sled, and getting out of the water.

FXR boots are a key component to mobility, and exiting the water, due to the use of highly buoyant materials.

WET/DRY INSULATION

Once out, F.A.S.T™ retains its thermal properties even when wet to keep body temperature from dropping.
