IN OUR WORDS
Fashion Forward
Celebrating 30 years of Nashville fashion and fun

Coco Chanel once said: “Fashion changes, but style endures.” From ancient empires to modern-day fashion houses, style has been a way for us to de ne ourselves — to make a statement. Whether choosing pops of color, neutral tones or basic black, we use fashion to express ourselves and tell our story. Whether walking the red carpet at Swan Ball or stepping out at the Grand Ole Opry, Nashvillians have always had a fashion sense all their own, walking a juxtaposing line between adoration for New York and European designers and for something local with theatrical air.
In this issue, we celebrate the style of celebrations. Now that parties are back, the fashion industry is abuzz with designing just the right look for the next great event.
We offer a glimpse into the world of styles for kickoff parties to galas and everything in between with our spring style feature. We get an intimate look into the Symphony Fashion Show with co-chairs Mary Morgan Ketchel and Lisa Manning. We journey to Antarctica to explore the land of snow and ice, and our 30 Years of Nfocus highlights fashion trends with Janice Elliott Morgan of Gus Mayer, who has dressed Nashville for decades.
We continue to celebrate 30 years of Nfocus as we plan and detail each issue. We still embrace the stories of our founder, Herbert Fox, and work to honor his memory and the foundation he created, where we stand today.
