Furman’s premier scholarships include participation in The Riley Institute’s Advantage Scholars Program and membership in Furman’s Community of Scholars, which provides access to faculty mentors and social, cultural and intellectual programing throughout the year.

Candidates for premier scholarships may be asked to interview on campus.

Priority deadline for premier scholarship consideration is November 1, 2025. Finalists will be invited to interview on campus in the spring.
Our holistic review of your application includes an evaluation of your grades, rigor of curriculum, test scores (optional), extracurricular activities, essay and potential contribution to campus. Beyond your application, we want to connect and learn more about you and your interest in Furman.
