STATEMENTS FROM Grodzki Theatre Association

“Our weekly meetings always put me in a cheerful mood, gave me joy, satisfaction, pleasure and great fun. They helped me to overcome stress and to discover the potential of my own actions. I had something to do in my leisure time, so I was never bored. I learned many new things. Now I have more courage in contact with other people, more self-esteem and I believe I will manage! “ 6

“The workshops were conducted in an interesting way. The ideas and solutions were not forced on us, so we had a chance to invent and create things together. The leader was open to discussions, she created a wonderful atmosphere in the group and she motivated us to be active all the time. Our goals were clear, we understood the subject of the performance well. We learned how to cooperate and we enjoyed shared success.”

When I came to the rehearsal for the first time I was afraid and I had a lot of respect for the theatre. Nowadays I still feel respect but I also enjoy myself and have a lot of fun there. Veronika Ježová I was surprised about myself that I was able to act in the theatre. When I came here I felt very good and I continue to feel better and better, I feel safe. Augustín Horváth Here in this group I feel like an artist, an actor, and I hope one day I will get a role in a regular T V show or a movie. Joshua Kanáloš

STATEMENTS FROM Key & Key Communications An interesting course, sitting together with different culture of people. Learn different culture of people. Like style and food etc. (Refugee from Pakistan, Italy,6 June 2011; the person answered in English; the text 5 4 has been copied like it was written).

This workshop is very important for intercultural exchange (We met other people and their point of view on various aspects of life). It was important for me to learn to communicate (for my job, for my study and for my life). Understanding people from different countries and knowing how to behave in the right way.

I noticed that, thanks to this course, I can improve so much the way I communicate I like to experiment the dynamics of communication and above all analyze how the culture of origin influences this dynamics. (English translations from Italian; Mid/Long-term migrants, Italy, June 2011)

STATEMENTS FROM Agricola Centre for Education and Training “What I enjoyed the most about the ARTERY workshops was getting to know the different points of view of different kinds of people, for example changing the paper to look like your own ideas and thoughts. These workshops were also important for my own life, many 2 5 thoughts, many3 questions, to get4 know different kinds of people and to6 understand the relationships between them. I have to admit that in the beginning I had some doubts but when I realized the principles, I got interested in the subject. Now I would like to hear more different opinions and discuss them.”.” “What I really enjoyed during the project was to do hand craft/ something with my own hands; I also like to make some of the things we produced during the art-workshops as a hobby, at home. The workshops gave me more courage to work in a group. Definitely it was a good exercise for me about teamwork!”

STATEMENTS FROM Intras Foundation

“What I enjoyed the most was the way we made theatre, the performance were produced by us, we created it together, and it is indeed a very personal performance, our own play, my own play. If I would have to choose just one thing, something to bring with me in my pocket, I would choose the activity about our childhood, and the tale I wrote.” 6

“This is the very first time I make theatre, I have really enjoyed the experience and it helped me to improve my relationship with my colleagues, now all of us get on well. I have learnt important things; at the beginning I could not see any sense in some of the activities, but now I fully understand the vocalization exercises and the expressivity activities.”
