2022

For many, the basic routines of our days have taken increased mental and physical energy. Our lives have been challenged with complications as we think about the health and safety of our families, the political and racial justice landscapes, the schools adapting - it can be overwhelming!

In response to the challenges we face, what if we, as a church, focused passionately on our simple purpose. The “why” behind who we are and what we do. To welcome, grow, and serve. To have a resounding commitment to each other, our guests, and our growing community. To love God with our whole hearts and share that love with others.

While simple isn’t always easy, may we take pause to remember our “why?”

We enter 2022 with confidence that we will continue making a positive impact in our community. Amazing things happen when we all join together.

Our time worshiping together as a community of faith is one of the strongest ties that bind us. This past year we’ve seen our unwavering commitment to welcoming new faces and exploring new spaces. We’ve been reminded that our worship extends far beyond the walls of the church.

TO GROW IN OUR FAITH.

LEARNING IS FOR A LIFETIME. We believe in the power of asking questions, seeking experiences, and learning from one another. From our youngest children to our senior adults, we’re blessed by the opportunities to grow deeper in our faith.

TO PASSIONATELY SERVE OTHERS.

John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist movement, challenged many to “do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can.”

We continue to live out those words today. While serving people with Christ, we always aspire to make a positive impact on the lives of our neighbors while building strong relationships along the way.

For over 135 years, the FUMCR family has seen many of life’s celebrations and many of life’s challenges. We’re grateful to walk alongside one another through the peaks, valleys, twists, and turns that the years bring. Through all, we remain committed to celebrating a foundation deeply rooted in a love for God and a love for one another.
