Inhabitation of Interstitial Space in New Orleans
The urban fabric of New Orleans, derived from 18th and 19th century French long lots, is abundant with small, irregularly shaped blocks. These “leftover” spaces create a potentially awkward, but intriguing urban condition, presenting opportunities for novel methods of inhabiting space.
