Families with school-age students new to FSUSD can register to attend school any time of year! Registration can be completed online or in-person. Contact your neighborhood school for in-person registration information. Need help determining your neighborhood school? Use this FIND MY SCHOOL LINK to access the interactive map. Use the NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION link for registration and online enrollment details.
Open Enrollment Open enrollment provides parents, guardians, and caregivers the opportunity to request a school other than their neighborhood school or current school of attendance.

What is the minimum age to be eligible for Kindergarten in California? A child shall be admitted to a kindergarten maintained by the school district at the beginning of a school year, or at a later time in the same year if the child will have their fifth birthday on or before September 1 for the 2026-27 school year.

Career Technical Education Programs
Career Technical Education (CTE) combines academics with technical and vocational training to help students transition successfully to college, career training, or a wide range of high-demand careers upon graduation from high school. Students may apply to a school site for a specific CTE pathway through the open enrollment process: www.fsusd.org/openenrollment
Middle school students have the opportunity to explore the different high school CTE pathway opportunities through an elective course called College and Career Ready Labs.

Sullivan Language Immersion Academy Serving K - 5th, Transitional Kindergarten Spanish only
Sullivan Language Immersion Academy is a specialized program that immerses students in English and Spanish culture and offers an educational experience rooted in biliteracy, bilingualism, and cultural competency. The K-5 program is at Sullivan Language Immersion Academy, with the 6-8 program continuing at B. Gale Wilson Middle School. A TK Spanish-only option is also available.

Virtual Academy of Fairfield-Suisun Serving Grades K - 8th
Virtual Academy is a high-quality online learning program offering families the flexibility of virtual education for students in grades K-8. Students actively take ownership of their education, achieve academic standards, and pursue personal goals through a blend of daily synchronous instruction and independent asynchronous learning. Engagement events—such as assemblies, family nights, after-school classes, and workshops —foster active participation from students and families.
Independent Study Option Families interested in participating in a long-term independent study program for students in 9th-12th grade can apply for enrollment in Long Term Independent Study through their high school. More information on Independent Study can be found at:

K.I. Jones Gate Magnet Serving Grades 3rd - 5th
A specialized magnet program serving students in 3rd - 5th grade identified as Gifted and Talented. The program is instructed by teachers trained in gifted education, and all students enrolled in the program are GATE identified. The goal of the GATE program is to provide rigorous and engaging learning experiences that include ongoing opportunities for critical and creative thinking, problem solving, and inquiry-based learning. All program goals are aligned with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and emphasize acceleration, depth & complexity, and scholarly habits. In addition, the program design supports instructional strategies that address individual learner differences while promoting student collaboration, curiosity, and innovation.

Matt Garcia Career & College Academy Serving Grades 6th - 8th
A specialized school focused on social service, and college and community partnerships. Students become career and college ready through project-based learning and studentcentered learning environments. Matt Garcia Career & College Academy (MGCCA) offers a small supportive setting empowering students to excel academically, socially, and emotionally while fostering community partnerships.
The 6th through 8th grade program emphasizes Project-Based Learning and offers courses like AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination). MGCCA is dedicated to preparing all students for both college and career.

Public Safety Academy Serving Grades 5th - 12th
A specialized para-military school offering rigorous academic and career preparation through a lens of public safety-related fields. Graduates emerge college and career ready, complete University of California (UC) coursework and are equipped with a strong foundation of academic excellence. PSA offers multiple AP courses and 100% of cadets enroll in on-site Solano Community College courses in Police or Firefighting. This allows graduates to become both college and career certified, ensuring proficiency in communication, problem-solving, leadership and ethics.

Early College High School Serving Grades 9th - 12th
A specialized program bridging high school and community college. Students earn their high school diploma and transferable college units from Solano Community College.
Early College High School allows students to complete both high school and college courses on the college campus, offering access to language courses like Spanish, French, and American Sign Language, as well as a variety of California General Education Transfer Curriculum (Cal-GETC) courses. International Baccalaureate Program Serving Grades 9th - 12th
The IB Program is a prestigious college-preparatory curriculum designed to foster globally minded, knowledgeable, and compassionate individuals. Students benefit from a holistic education that includes rigorous academics and personal development opportunities. The program is a two-year comprehensive and rigorous pre-university curriculum which includes completion of a personal Extended Essay, a CAS (Creativity, Action and Service) Project and a Theory of Knowledge Course in grades 11 and 12. Benefits of the Program International Focus Honors Classes (9th/10th Grade) College Credit and Weighted Courses University Recognition Minimum Requirements: Coursework begins in grades 9 and 10 with honors classes in preparation for the rigorous IB curriculum in 11th and 12th grade. Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.50 during 8th-12th grade.

Sem Yeto High School Serving Grades 10th - 12th
Sem Yeto is a small credit recovery school that offers a personalized, competency-based learning model grounded in proficiency scales. Because of its close-knit and individualized learning environment, Sem Yeto is often a strong fit for students who may not thrive in a large, traditional high school setting. While Sem Yeto primarily serves students who need credit recovery, students who are not credit deficient may also be considered and placed on a waiting list if space is available. How to Enter the Program: Students are formally invited by letter to attend Sem Yeto based on their readiness to enroll and their ability to either graduate from Sem Yeto or return to their home school on track for graduation. Due to high demand, spaces fill quickly each semester and a waiting list is common.
