Dear Broncos and Supporters:

It’s hard to believe that another Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Tournament is just around the corner. It seems like only yesterday that we were in Charlotte cheering for our beloved Broncos, supporting our student-athletes, and celebrating what has become known among CIAA fans as “Homecoming Part II.” I want to take a moment to thank our coaches and student-athletes for their performances this year on and off the court. A true indication of a successful athletic program and team is not determined solely by wins and losses, or by trophies and championships. Character, sportsmanship, and community service also are indicators that the team and program are at the top of their game. By serving as mentors to boys and girls and visiting

with the elderly in nursing homes, our teams have shown that they indeed are winners. To make certain you don’t miss out on any of the revelry and splendor that the CIAA Tournament has to offer, we have provided this guide for you. In it is information about how to obtain tickets, the host hotel for Fayetteville State University alumni and friends, and the popular annual scholarship fund-raising gathering. It has everything you will need to plan your stay in the Queen City and to make your CIAA experience one that you won’t soon forget. I think you will find it quite useful. Safe travels and I will see you in Charlotte! In the Bronco Spirit,

James A. Anderson Chancellor
