GUIDE

CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING

It takes place in the Estate's South Field, where clays are released from five different platforms. Each station replicates the flight of a different bird. Our qualified instructors will guide you around the shooting circuit and offer expert tips and tricks. Please kindly note that this activity is available to guests over 10 years of age.

Each hour session includes a 15 minute tutorial, 30 clays and shots.

Opens from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 16:00 (until 15:00 during winter period due to day light).

HORSE RIDING

Our Equestrian Centre is located within the Four Seasons estate. The equestrian facility caters for riders of all abilities whether beginner or experienced.

We offer both hacks and lessons to riders of all abilities and for our more experienced riders we can offer a 60 minute hack which involves cantering and controlling or steering a horse.

Both hack and lesson can be arranged Wednesday to Monday inclusive, from 09:30 to 15:30, for up to a maximum of 4 people at any one time.

You will be required to arrive at the Equestrian Centre with 15 minutes prior to your booking.

Please note that the maximum weight of an individual rider is 76 kilograms (12 stones/168 pounds) and they must be at least 4 years old.

PONY GROOMING

For our youngest ponies lover, we offer 15 or 30 minutes with our miniatures Shetland ponies Milo and Dougal. They will learn how to groom them and will also be able to pet them.

OWN A PONY PROGRAM

Our Own a Pony Experience program is designed for our young horse fanatics aged 6 and above. They have the opportunity to join the equestrian team and have fun learning the A to Z of caring for their very own pony.

Children can join in either a morning or afternoon session that lasts for two hours beginning at 10:00 and 13:00. The experience includes a 30 minute hack as well as horse grooming and stable management.

FALCONRY

Hawk Walk

Under expert tuition, you will be taught the fundamentals of falconry. We offer 90-minute Hawk Walks, which involve accompanying a Harris Hawk around the woodland behind the hotel where you will learn all about these birds and also handle it. This includes flying it and coaxing it down from the trees. The prices are as follows.

Note : Children must be accompanied by 1 full paying adult.

Bird Display

Alternatively, we offer the Bird Display. This entails a selection of birds to admire including owls, falcons, hawks, and eagles. This is a fun and educational experience during which you will be able to see and interact with some incredible birds. The cost for a display is £550.00 based on a 90-minute session (up to 10 people).

BIRD WATCHING

Team up with our expert ornithologists who, using state-of-the-art Swarovski binoculars, will take you around the grounds to see some incredible close-ups of the local birds. Learn more about the estate and its history as you traverse our 500 acres or even go further afield to find that particular bird which has so far eluded your sights! Take a break away from the hustle and bustle, and enjoy a tranquil and calming experience, giving you an insight into the underappreciated world of Ornithology.

FLY FISHING

We have our own pond on the property's estate where we offer the art of fly fishing for adults and children aged 8 years old onwards with our fully qualified instructor.

Fishing is on a catch-and-release basis and is offered daily throughout the year (weather permitting). Please kindly note that the fishing session is a two hours session.

CANAL BOAT

The picturesque Basingstoke Canal runs through the Hotel’s Estate. Guests have the opportunity to enjoy a memorable experience when hiring a 56ft canal boat. Available for hire from 10:00 to 22:00 there are endless possibilities. Enhance your boat trip and order a picnic through Concierge, with the option to have your every need being taken care of by your Four Seasons crew. Available trip to Odiham or Winchfield, where you may stop at a local pub for lunch or dinner and go up to a 2 hours 30 minute round-trip journey where you can hop off or stay on the boat and enjoy the scenery.

Set within the Hotel’s original heritage listed gardens, you can enjoy a game of croquet between April to September from sunrise to sunset.

Offered on a complimentary basis, mallets and balls are provided by our Concierge team.

For expert croquet tuition we can arrange for a member of the lawn croquet society to provide the service.

ARCHERY

Using Compound Archery bows mean that all Archers will achieve a certain level of success, no matter what their previous experience is.

Archery is a thrilling sport, and guests will have the opportunity to release arrow after arrow. Minimum 8 years of age and it is a 45 minute session. Please note there's a minimum booking of 2 people.

AXE THROWING

Axe throwing is surprisingly easy to pick up but deceptively difficult to master. Throwers take aim at the wooden target of 36 inches and a bull’s-eye of just 4 inches, and earn points depending on where their axes land.

Minimum 12 years of age and it is a 45 minute session. Please note there's a minimum booking of 2 people.

LASER CLAY SHOOTING

The ‘Laser Clay’ simulated shooting system is the ideal alternative to the conventional shooting and poses no noise or safety concerns. Guests shoot at clays and the hits are recorded instantaneously on a giant scoreboard.

Minimum 8 years of age.

TENNIS

Two all-weather tennis courts are offered to guests on a year-round complimentary basis. Racquets can be provided, and balls are available to purchase at £10.00 for a pack of 4.

Tennis Professionals are available to provide private lessons on request from The Spa & Club all year round. In order to book a lesson, let us know your preferred date, time, duration and number of participants, so we can confirm availability for you.

HIGHWIRE ADVENTURE (TEMPORARILY

CLOSED)

Open every weekend and on selected days during half terms. It is made up of two courses and two further activities: High Ropes, Low Ropes, Powerfan and Descent. It is located on the property just behind the Hotel.

• The High ropes includes 24 elements on heights that gradually go up from 2 metres to 13 metres. It can be done once and there is no time limit. For adults and children over 10 years, minimum height requirement: 1.4 metres (4 feet 7 inches).

• The Low ropes includes 17 elements on heights that gradually go up from 2 metres to 5 metres. It can be done as many times as possible within one hour time limit. Children over 6 years old, Minimum height requirement: 1.2 metres (3 feet 11 inches).

• The Powerfan is a Parachute Simulator. From 13 metres height, you are attached to a fan with our Harness, and as soon as you walk off the plank, the Fan catches your weight and slows it down. Children over 6 years old, minimum weight: 20kg.

• The Descent is a 235 metres long zipline, starting from a point of 13 metres of height, which goes down to an open field which looks at our Shooting range and Fishing Pond. For adults and children over 10 years, Minimum height requirement: 1.4 metres (4 feet 7 inches).

We offer packages such as the Forest Feat, which includes a choice of the High or Low Ropes + Zipline or Powerfan for £50.00, and the Wild Wood Wonder, which includes a choice of High or Low Ropes + Zipline and Powerfan all together for £65.00.

Please note that for either High Ropes or Low Ropes, guests under 16 years of age will have to be supervised by a guardian of over 18 years of age. Furthermore, for the High Ropes, guests under 16 years of age will have to be supervised by a guardian of over 18 years of age on the course itself.

KIDS FOR ALL SEASONS

Upon arrival, each child will receive a personal invitation to join Hampshire’s Kids For All Seasons programme. Children are introduced to their new friends and to the Four Seasons team who will supervise activities. Children’s activities may include games, crafts, reading stories, watching movies and cartoons, touring the Equestrian Centre, kite-flying, football, frisbee, or treasure and scavenger hunts. The Service is complimentary. Children under 4 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Henry’s Hangout, our children’s outdoor play area, just next to the Reeds Cottage.

GAME ROOM AT REEDS COTTAGE

For our guests of 10 years and above we are delighted to welcome them to Reeds cottage where children can enjoy foosball table, air hockey, table tennis and other fun games.

Guest room key can access the Game room daily at any time from 09:00 to 21:00. Adult supervision is required out of this hours.

Kids under 10 must be supervised or have a babysitter with them.

BICYCLES

Enjoy a bike ride in the heart of the English Countryside. Explore the trails set in the 500 acres that surround our 18th century Georgian Manor house!.

Bikes are available from the Spa Reception on a first come first serve basis.

DOG WALKING

Pets are part of a family and, for many people, a holiday or a visit to the countryside just isn’t complete without them. We have always invited our guests to bring their dogs to stay.

As guests to Dogmersfield Park, your dog will experience its own little luxuries and personalised welcome amenities with elegant dog beds, feeding bowls and treats.

Please chat with our Concierge team to find out more about our range of dog-friendly activities as well as dog-sitting services to ensure you a most comfortable and convenient stay.

BABYSITTING

We are working in partnership with a professional babysitting agency. Our sitters have previous experiences of being a nanny at the Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire and are all CRB checked. They look after babies and children of all ages.

Babysitting service charged at £15.00 per hour with a minimum booking of 3 hours.

In addition, a £24.00 booking fee applies to your first reservation and £18.00 booking fee applies to all subsequent bookings.

All cancellations must be notified a minimum of 48 hours prior to confirmed booking time in order to avoid charge. Cancellations received within 48 hours of confirmed booking time will result in 100% charge.

The Hotel is prepared to accommodate your pet in the room provided that your pet is no larger than a full grown Labrador, and that they are fully house trained and is at least 6 months of age

We regret that pets are not allowed in the Spa or Pool areas of the Hotel as well as in the Wild Carrot and the Library. However, the Bar and Drawing room are available. This exclusion does not apply to guide dogs. Full details of our Pet Policy can be obtained from Reception.
