Combined Forces Show Steer & Heifer Sale 2021

The Goetsch and Sowden families hold a long standing friendship and it is with great pleasure that we come together to bring you the 2nd Annual “Combined Forces Show Steer & Heifer Sale 2021” Having a lifetime’s experience within the cattle industry, the Goetsch and Sowden families have been major players in the led steer game for decades and lay claim to winning major led steer titles on several occasions over many years at Local and Royal Show level. Our shared passion for producing and preparing led steers and heifers has bought us to the decision to offer what we believe are the cream of the crop of this year’s calves to enable everyone the opportunity to purchase these outstanding calves on a level playing field.

All calves on offer have been vaccinated with minimum of 5 in 1, drenched and have all been well handled and have had access to a creep feeder. Calves can be taken straight home with the knowledge that they know what grain is to minimise the stress. The younger calves of the offering are being viewed and sold on sale day on their mothers and will be weaned on the day of purchase. Please be considerate of this when taking your calves home as a time of adjustment will be required and penned with some mates upon arriving home and not left by themselves.

There is a mixed offering of pure Limousin, Limousin cross and Speckle Park cross calves. Some of these will be eligible for Sydney 2022 and of course will make excellent lightweight calves for this year’s Brisbane Ekka 2021 or Heavyweight Steers for 2022.

Unfortunately due to the dry weather in 2019 a number of calves were born late and therefore we are willing to take them home to grow them out a little more if required and agreed upon with the vendors. Collection of these returned calves is to be made by mid May 2021 by the purchaser in consultation with the vendors.

Prior inspections on property are recommended and advised prior to sale day. All sale cattle will be cleared and ready for transport to clean country.

Cattle can be viewed on sale day from 8am at the Kalbar Showgrounds and please join us prior to the sale for nibblies and light refreshments.

On Sale day simply login, click “Enter Auction” on the catalogue page and you can start bidding.

Information Announcements

Phone Bids

All announcements made from the auctioneers box on the day of sale take priority over printed or catalogued material. Sale will be conducted under a bid card system and under the ALPA Livestock Terms and Conditions.

EFTPOS will be available on the day for payment.

To bid by phone please contact the selling agent and or vendors prior to sale day to arrange bidding or register and bid online via Elite Livestock Auctions.

Liabilities

Insurance Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser at the fall of the hammer. If the animals are not removed from Kalbar Showgrounds by 4pm on sale day arrangements are to be made with the selling agent.

Delivery There will be available transport on the day of sale with local carriers or interstate buyers, please contact the agent to arrange transport.

All persons attending the sale do so at their own risk. The sellers, facility owners and sale co-ordinators assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for accidents that occur.

Health Guarantee We the vendors guarantee the health of each animal up until time of auction and all care has been taken to ensure your animals health has been paramount in presenting them as they are on sale day.

$50 per animal to enter the Jackpot Series. All Jackpot entries must be nominated & paid for in full prior to the 20th of May, 2021.

Jackpot winner will be announced at this years 2021 Ekka & presented with a custom made Combined Forces Super Steer Series Buckle & the Jackpot prize pool.

If a steer is purchased from this years Combined Forces Super Steer Series wins Grand Champion Led Steer at this years Ekka they will receive $500 cash.
