Dear Friends and Supporters:

For more than six decades, Fellowship Square has remained committed to providing affordable housing and supportive services to older adults, ensuring every resident can live with dignity and connection. In 2025 we celebrated our 65th Anniversary by commemorating our history and affirming our strength of mission. Our Fellowship Houses contain a community where residents from diverse backgrounds come together to build friendships, share experiences, and support one another. These communities are defined by compassion, resilience, and a true sense of belonging.

This year, we focused on maintaining and enhancing our communities while ensuring residents have access to the services they need to live independently.

In 2025, we saw the continued impact of this work. Residents across our communities participated in programs that promote wellness, social engagement, and lifelong learning. From cultural celebrations to daily interactions, our Fellowship Houses remain vibrant places where individuals can thrive. The diversity of our residents strengthens these communities and highlights the importance of inclusion in all we do. At the core of our mission is the belief that everyone deserves a safe, affordable place to call home. As housing challenges persist, Fellowship Square’s work remains essential. This year, we focused on maintaining and enhancing our communities while ensuring residents have access to the services they need to live independently. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our staff and the generosity of our supporters. Fellowship Square operates four properties in Virginia and Maryland with a total of 670 units.

Lake Anne, Reston

Hunters Woods, Reston

Lake Anne House is comprised of 56 studios, 178 one-bedroom and 6 two-bedroom apartment units, state-of-the-art community features include accessible and centrally located common spaces, a large lounge, wellness center, game room, a sun room, large outdoor plaza with activity space and raised garden beds and other amenities.

Hunters Woods Fellowship House in Reston, Virginia, includes 222 one bedroom and ADA accessible apartment units, a large social hall with pantry and kitchen, fitness center, wellness center, media room, beauty shop and lounging area in each floor and other amenities.

Fellowship Square has partnered with SL Nusbaum Realty Company to manage our properties. Staff at each property also include assistant managers, resident engagement coordinators, leasing consultants, 24hour concierge and security guards, service technicians, housekeepers and bus drivers. Largo Landing Fellowship House in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, consists of 106 one bedroom and ADA accessible apartment units, a social hall, computer room, fitness center, patio with raised garden beds and outdoor grill and other amenities.

Lake Ridge Fellowship House in Lake Ridge, Virginia, features 99 one bedroom and ADA accessible apartment units, a social hall, computer room, fitness center, patio with raised garden beds and outdoor grill and other amenities.

Coming Soon: The Dogwood Project Dogwood Farm Station Apartments, in Loudoun County, VA, will be a thoughtfully designed, five-story building that delivers 72 high-quality, fully affordable homes for seniors aged 62 and older, offering a dignified, safe, and amenity-rich environment tailored to the needs of an aging population. The project will be a model of environmentally responsible development that will significantly reduce resident utility burdens and enhance long-term operating performance. This intentional, residentfirst approach ensures that every unit, space, and amenity is functional, welcoming, and supportive, especially for those with mobility, sensory, or age-related needs. Fellowship Square received $7 million in support from the Loudoun County, VA Board of Supervisors. Look for more information on this exciting new opportunity soon.

Fellowship Square Interns: Learning & Leadership (FILL) Program The Fellowship Interns: Learning & Leadership (FILL) Program at Fellowship Square offers aspiring nonprofit professionals the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in senior housing, nonprofit management, and agingrelated services. Interns engage in a dynamic, mission-driven environment, participating in staff and board meetings, property activities, and community outreach while developing valuable skills in communications and leadership. This program is an essential part of our mission to empower future leaders while improving the lives of older adults in need.

Partner Spotlight February is American Heart Month, an annual educational and awareness campaign that seeks to help people of all ages take charge of their cardiovascular health. In response, Fellowship Square hosted Kelly Sloma, physician liaison at the National Vascular Association, at our Lake Ridge community on February 24. She talked with residents about heart disease and factors that can affect heart health and she shared information about what signs and symptoms to watch for that may indicate heart health challenges. We sat down with Kelly to find out a bit more about her organization’s work and what people can do to protect their heart health.

Moments 65 Years of Service! Fellowship Square proudly marked its 65th Anniversary by celebrating more than six decades of providing affordable housing and supportive services to older adults across the region. Throughout the anniversary year, celebrations extended across the Fellowship Houses, where residents, staff, and supporters came together to honor the community and the lives enriched within each property. These gatherings highlighted the vibrant culture, diversity, and sense of belonging that define daily life at Fellowship Square. A signature moment of the celebration was the “Far Out” 65th Anniversary fundraiser—a lively, 1960s-themed event filled with music, vintage style, and a spirit of peace, love, and community. Guests embraced the era with themed attire and enjoyed an evening that both honored the organization’s roots and energized support for its future. Together, these celebrations reflected not only Fellowship Square’s rich history, but also a renewed commitment to expanding its impact and continuing to enhance the lives of older adults for generations to come.

A Life of Gratitude at Largo Landing Jennifer Dix, a lifelong Marylander, has been an important part of the Largo Landing Fellowship House community for 27 years. Prior to moving here, she lived with family in Suitland, MD, and first discovered Largo Landing Fellowship House when the community was hosting a yard sale. When it came time to relocate after her family home was sold, she remembered Largo Landing and, with the help of her husband’s sister, chose it due to its nice atmosphere and a convenient location. In the years since, she regularly attends social events at the Fellowship House, where she’s made many friends, and she worships at Riverdale Church.
