WEEKEND ACTIVITIES It’s Friday! Whether shopping at the outlets in nearby North Conway sounds like a perfect outing or a hike up Mount Washington is more your style, we offer a variety of excursions in addition to on-campus events. The Mount Washington Valley offers outdoor enthusiasts easy access to rivers and lakes as well as hiking, biking, and rock climbing adventures—plus ample opportunities for skiing and snow sports. Our 105-acre campus includes beautiful trails, an outdoor climbing wall, and low ropes course.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

STUDY ABROAD

This program is an opportunity for students to gain real-world experience in a field of interest. Internships are intended to broaden student awareness of potential career fields, develop their workplace skills and ethics, and contribute positively to business and services in the Mount Washington Valley.

We encourage student travel and cultural study. Spring break trips have included travel to Costa Rica, France, Italy, Morocco, and Spain. French Club weekend travels to Quebec City and Montreal. Canada is also a popular opportunity.

Our Arts program was created to bring an appreciation of the fine arts into students’ lives by cultivating their individual talents, encouraging original expression, and fostering creative discovery. On campus, students experience, live professional performances in the Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center, view professionally curated exhibits in the PACE and Goldberg Galleries, and display their own works of art in the Nadler Gallery.

Fryeburg offers a close-knit community with endless outdoor activities in every season. With over 800,000 acres of White Mountain National Forest, lakes, rivers, and four major ski resorts nearby—the opportunities to explore the region’s magnificent natural surroundings are boundless. Fryeburg is also rich in culture and entertainment, thanks to thriving local resort towns like North Conway and the proximity of larger cities like Portland and Boston that are within an hour and 2.5-hour drive respectively.

Students quickly build peer and faculty relationships that span cultures, genders, and ages. This feeling of community stretches beyond campus, into the village of Fryeburg and area towns where day students and school alumni live; many open their homes and families to boarding students during weekends and vacations. Day and boarding students share afternoon, evening, and weekend time on campus, socializing, utilizing academic resources, and attending athletic and other school events.

Fryeburg is a classic New England village, nestled in the foothills of the White Mountains and home to Fryeburg Academy. Fryeburg offers a close-knit community with endless outdoor activities in every season. With over 800,000 acres of White Mountain National Forest, lakes, rivers, and four major ski resorts nearby—the opportunities to explore the region’s magnificent natural surroundings are boundless. Fryeburg is also rich in culture and entertainment, thanks to thriving local resort towns like North Conway and the proximity of larger cities like Portland and Boston that are within an hour and 2.5-hour drive respectively.

Students quickly build peer and faculty relationships that span cultures, genders, and ages. This feeling of community stretches beyond campus, into the village of Fryeburg and area towns where day students and school alumni live; many open their homes and families to boarding students during weekends and vacations. Day and boarding students share afternoon, evening, and weekend time on campus, socializing, utilizing academic resources, and attending athletic and other school events.

WEEKEND ACTIVITIES It’s Friday! Whether shopping at the outlets in nearby North Conway sounds like a perfect outing or a hike up Mount Washington is more your style, we offer a variety of excursions in addition to on-campus events. The Mount Washington Valley offers outdoor enthusiasts easy access to rivers and lakes as well as hiking, biking, and rock climbing adventures—plus ample opportunities for skiing and snow sports. Our 105-acre campus includes beautiful trails, an outdoor climbing wall, and low ropes course.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

STUDY ABROAD

This program is an opportunity for students to gain real-world experience in a field of interest. Internships are intended to broaden student awareness of potential career fields, develop their workplace skills and ethics, and contribute positively to business and services in the Mount Washington Valley.

We encourage student travel and cultural study. Spring break trips have included travel to Costa Rica, France, Italy, Morocco, and Spain. French Club weekend travels to Quebec City and Montreal. Canada is also a popular opportunity.

Our Arts program was created to bring an appreciation of the fine arts into students’ lives by cultivating their individual talents, encouraging original expression, and fostering creative discovery. On campus, students experience, live professional performances in the Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center, view professionally curated exhibits in the PACE and Goldberg Galleries, and display their own works of art in the Nadler Gallery.
