Frost-trol is a third generation family business with more than 60 years of experience in the refrigeration industry.
Presentation
We are dedicated to the design, manufacture and marketing of flexible commercial refrigeration solutions. We offer our customers a wide range of environmentally sustainable and energyefficient cabinets that guarantees the food safety of the products on display. Throughout all these years we have grown in experience, technology, product quality and international presence, offering a wide and modern range of products, constantly updated and adapted to Ecodesign and Ecolabelling regulations.
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Frost-trol is facing a process of major changes at all levels, from growth in facilities to market expansion. In the current context, it is no longer enough just to produce with quality, society demands new standards and one of the priorities is to produce good products and services, but also to do so in a sustainable way. Aware of the importance of respect for the environment, Frost-trol decided to implement an Environmental Management System based on the UNE-EN ISO 14001 standard. This system is implemented with the aim of achieving and demonstrating strong environmental performance by monitoring downstream - from raw material extraction to arrival at our facilities - and upstream from our facilities until the cabinet becomes waste - of our activities. Frost-trol's Environmental Management System maintains a methodology for the identification of the environmental aspects of all the activities carried out in the organisation. In the first quarter of each year, an analysis and evaluation of the environmental aspects of the previous year is carried out and the most important impacts that could be caused to the environment are established. Based on these impacts, the annual objectives are established. For all significant environmental aspects, the company carries out planned actions to avoid and/or reduce their significance, in order to reduce their environmental impact. Significant environmental aspects are monitored continuously throughout the year.

The responsible use of energy is part of Frosttrol's commitment. For this reason, our activities

technological improvements in search of energy optimisation, both in our installations and in our manufactured furniture, as the savings generated by each of our customers are important to us.

Atmospheric Emissions The 30% reduction of our emissions from 2019 to 2020 corresponds to 693,370 t CO2=eq.
This is the amount of CO2 that would have to be absorbed by a 60,23 mi2 forest in one year.

At Frost-trol we are firmly committed to the use of natural refrigerants that respect the environment in all our cabinets, both in the Supermarket range, with out CO2-based solutions, and in our Plug-in line in wich we
incorporate propane as a refrigerant. With excellent thermodynamic properties, both solutions have good energy efficiency t CO2=eq/producto terminado 140,65
and also allow our customers to easily adapt to the different regulations in force in this area, such as the European F-Gas directive, contributing to achieving the objective of progreessively
reducing
the
use
of
refrigerants with a high global warming index.
Waste Generation
Analysis and prevention is the basis of Frost-trol's waste management. One of the main problems facing society is the presence of waste in the natural environment, a problem that requires involvement at all levels and the implementation of numerous initiatives to reduce waste generation. In this line, Frost-trol acts together with stakeholders in the search for the best options to address the challenge of society in the face of pollution caused by uncontrolled waste.

WASTE PREVENTION Thanks to the work of our designers and suppliers, every possible use of our steel is analysed, so that the surplus is kept to a minimum.
COMMERCIAL PACKAGING In order to minimise the waste reported to the customer, the packaging of our cabinets
WASTE GENERATION
has been designed with the minimum possible amount of materials derived from cardboard and biodegradable plastics.
REVERSE LOGISTICS & RECYCLING Frost-trol's logistics department encourages the use of return trips of our fleet to transport materials collected from different suppliers, such as steel, copper or plastic film, and send them for recycling. Advances in technology are gradually allowing us to introduce materials into another value chain to close the cycle of the circular economy.
COMMITMENT The management system encompasses all our stakeholders. For this reason, Frost-trol is in continuous communication with them. From these dialogues, opportunities arise that lead to commitments in initiatives aimed at improving all aspects of the environment, sharing best practices and addressing new challenges.
WASTE GENERATION
As a manufacturer of refrigerated cabinets, we go beyond simple compliance with environmental regulations, actively promoting and contributing to the conservation of the environment by recycling waste. For this reason, we reduce the consumption of raw materials, separate and select waste with the aim of reusing it in our production process or recycling it to give it a second life.
