This reality brings us to, possibly, the greatest challenge as a society since the first industrial revolution, maintaining growth and evolution as a society, but ensuring the sustainability of the environment and natural resources. At Frost-trol we were aware of our responsible role as an industrial company more than a decade ago, when we took a step forward by betting on the use of natural refrigerants such as the now acclaimed CO2 and Propane. Since then we are committed to taking steps to restore to our environment everything that he has given us during more than 60 years of activity. We believe that for our decisions to make their mark, the only effective solution is innovation, but above all, it is essential to work together with our customers, human team and suppliers. That is why we have decided to share all the actions and progress we are carrying out with the sustainability of our environment, with the mission of leaving a better world. There's a log way to go, but with out passion, integrity and commitment, we will not stop until we achieve it, because what is at stake is the preservation of our future.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT In recent years, the vocation for respect for the environment began. The first environmental policy was signed in 2014 and involved the empowerment of environmentally friendly actions, Frost-trol takes a step further in its commitment to the environment following the certification of the Environmental Management System, based on the UNE Standard in ISO 14001 at the new Cabanes plant.
Sustainable Development ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY Frost-trol has established an environmental policy setting out the general lines of action in environmental matters and in line with the management system. This plan works to minimize the impact on climate change, increase resource efficiency, and develop more sustainable products. The company has a Corporate Quality and Environment Department, with the aim of preventing and reducing environmental risks and impacts.
Energy efficiency Improved use of energy resources through equipment changes and improvement and adjustments of ship operation. Minimize the environmental impacts generated by the activities and services that are developed.

In the Cabanes Plant, the use of fossil fuel has been completely eliminated, replacing it with natural gas in the injection and painting sections of the production process and in the forklifts, becoming all of the electricity consumption. Although the activity is not potentially polluting, Frost-trol performs an emissions report that records scope 2 calculations through perspectives of life cycle analysis, carbon footprint and internal control of validated direct emissions by audit. Frost-trol has established methods for the control of wastewater discharges produced in the process of painting parts, being 100% of the water used, suitable for reuse.
Innovation and Commitment Frost-trol, as a manufacturer of cold furniture for commercial use, goes beyond simple compliance with environmental regulations, actively favoring the conservation of the environment. All the processes of cabinets development are based on a perspective of life cycle analysis, trying to make the most of our raw materials until studies of efficient behaviors of our furniture and looking for outputs of the materials not used to boost the circular economy.

It seeks to cabinets consume less and less energy and resources in its operation.

Continue to implement more efficient consumption systems and take another step in reducing electricity consumption by seeking a partial selfsufficiency plan during the production process.

Design and manufacturing based on life cycle analysis: guarantee of improvement in product quality, greater efficiency and life of the product and sustainability in all processes prioritizing km 0 materials.
