Sunday, September 21 You have a choice to take a city tour or enjoy one day at leisure in Ulaanbaatar. Continued overnight at the Hovsgol Travel Hotel. Please note an extra night and city tour are not included in package. Monday, September 22 After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for departure by helicopter (or by other means based on availability) to the fishing camp. We recommend taking ear protectors for the helicopter, as it can be rather noisy and dressing in layers on board because of the variation in temperature.

Friday, September 19

Arrive at the Camp. Upon arrival, you will be met by the camp operator, guides and the Mongolian staff. This afternoon may be spent at your leisure settling into camp. If time permits, you will have the option to fish early this evening before dinner.

Depart the United States via a commercial flight service to Ulaanbaatar via Seoul, Korea.

Saturday, September 20

Enjoy six full days of fishing.

Arrive Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival and after clearing immigration, proceed to the baggage claim area.

A typical day begins with breakfast served at 8:00 AM and departure to the river by 9:00 AM. Lunch is served on shore. Return to camp at end of the day around 5:00 PM and enjoy dinner at approximately 7:00 PM. Other activities can be arranged with the camp operators on a day-to-day basis according to your requests.

You will be met just outside of the customs area by our representative from Hovsgul Travel and transferred to the Hovsgul Travel Hotel. Note: Your package price includes airport transfers in Mongolia and hotel lodging the night before departure to camp and the night after returning from camp. Breakfast is provided at the hotel, but dinner and incidental expenses in Ulaanbaatar are the responsibility of each individual client. At the Hovsgol Travel Hotel, one standard room, based on single occupancy, has been confirmed and prepaid for one night, inclusive of breakfast.

Monday, September 29 Pack up this morning and transfer by helicopter (or by other means of transportation, based on availability) to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the Hovsgol Travel Hotel. At the Ulaanbaatar Hotel, a standard room has been confirmed and fully prepaid for one night, including breakfast, on your behalf.

In the early 1990s, with assistance from international environmental groups, many takhi were reintroduced into their natural habitat of Khustain Nuruu and South Gobi areas. About 400 now live in this park in the wild nature. Activities: Hiking, horseback riding, visiting Turkic period human stones. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Thursday, October 2 After driving back to Ulaanbaatar, you will tour the city and enjoy some shopping with overnight in a hotel. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Saturday, October 4 The Eagle Festival begins today. Opening ceremony / hunter’s parade displays the hunters outfit and accessories. The competitions are all held in the area of 10km outside of Ulgy. In the afternoon witness the speed and agility of Golden Eagles. This evening you have the opportunity to witness the traditional performance. Overnight in hotel. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Sunday, October 5 Today is considered to be the ‘most excting competitions’ to observe. Eagles will be checked on ability to grab the “fox,” their speed and gripping technique. Kukbar-Skin pulling competition tests one’s horse riding skill, strength and agility. Tenge Ilu Picking – up coins from the ground competition.

Monday, September 29 You will drive out from the fishing camp to Moron, the capital of Huvsgul province and overnight in hotel. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Sunday, October 5 – Eagle Festival

Head towards west, driving, arrive at Tsetserleg Village of Huvsgul Province and overnight with local nomadic family. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Today is considered to be the ‘most exciting competitions’. Eagles will be checked on ability to grab the “fox,” their speed and gripping technique. Kukbar - Skin pulling competition tests one’s horse riding skill, strength and agility. Tenge Ilu Picking – up coins from the ground competition. The award ceremony is in the afternoon. Celebration dinner with eagle hunters. Overnight in hotel. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Wednesday, October 1 Drive to Uvs Province, overnight with Nomadic camel herder family. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Thursday, October 2 Drive to Uvs Province, overnight in hotel in Ulaangom City, the capital of Uvs Province. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Monday, October 6 After breakfast, take a flight to Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to the hotel and the remainder of the day is leisure time. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Friday, October 3

Tuesday, October 7 This morning, you will be transferred to the Ulaanbaatar Airport and assisted with check-in for flight service home.

Drive to Ulgy and overnight at hotel. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
