Toilet trouble
A heated debate is taking place over the future of parking in the heart of Winterbourne. Recent changes to the parking regulations in the Flaxpits Lane car park has meant the removal of several short term parking spaces. These have become long term parking spaces as South Gloucestershire Council looks to get the mix right. Some local traders say the move will be detrimental to the area, with shoppers unable to park or pushed into nearby residential streets. Others though, insist it’s a good move that will actually help the congested high street. The opposing views were highlighted at a recent parish council meeting as a consultation period continues.
