Youth club to re-open two years after closure

IT’S two years since a row broke out over the closure of Frampton Cotterell’s youth club. But the service is now on the verge of being revived, probably in the summer, to serve the parish and surrounding Winterbourne and Westerleigh areas. The club will continue to be in the Brockeridge Centre after the Southern Brooks Community Partnership won the tender to run the facility, initially for a year. With an agreement to operate the club twice a week for different age categories on 48 weeks of the year, it is hoped the service will bring in more users than had been the case when Frampton Cotterell Parish Council took the decision to close the club. Despite criticism of the step taken, it said it wanted to review the service and with only one youth worker left, felt it was the right time to look at options. A survey was also carried out,
