Welcome to Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort! Guest Services is conveniently located at the center of the island in the Beach Club circle, and is open daily during the summer from 8am to 10pm. If you have any questions about your Fripp Island Resort rental, your PIN code rental access, or the Resort in general, please stop by and let our staff assist 843-838-1558. you. Club Cards

Fripp Island Club

As a Fripp Island Golf and Beach Resort Guest or Club member you are automatically a guest of The Fripp Island Club for the length of your stay!

Your Club Guest Card is magnetically encoded and entitles you access to all Club amenities. We simply ask that you and every person in your group age 13 and older carry a Club Card and show it whenever you use the facilities.

Since our amenities are operated for the exclusive enjoyment of Fripp Island Club members and Club Card carrying guests, our staff members are instructed to turn away individuals without cards.

Please carry your card to avoid any inconvenience.The Club Card is your key to all of the Island’s fun.

Should you need to have your card re-magnetized or have any questions about your Club cards, please stop by or call the 843-838-1528.

Day 1

Check-In

Discover your home away from home when you book direct from Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort! We have a large selection of high-quality vacation rentals ranging from oceanfront villas to scenic homes with marsh views.

Our Lowcountry resort rentals are fully equipped for your every convenience.

No need to stand in line for a key, simply use your unique PIN code for the keyless door lock once check-in time begins. Each home or villa includes linens for bed and bath and a start up kit (includes dishwashing soap, bath soap, shampoo, bath tissue, and paper towels). Your guest cards will be in your check-in packet upon your arrival, so there’s no delay to starting your vacation fun!

Day 2

Get Outside

Nestled between Savannah and Charleston, Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort is situated on Beaufort’s most beautiful barrier island. This private world of beauty is resplendent with tropical foliage and wildlife, 3.5 miles of gently sloping beach, and magnificent views of the Atlantic.

Island Rentals & Excursions

You don’t have to lug all of your gear and toys when you’re headed to vacay! Our rentals are the best way to get around and explore the island. Electric and gas golf carts, scooters, bikes, and more are available for rent at Island Rentals & Excusions, open daily 8am until 6pm. Call 843-838-1518 for reservations, and check out all of our rental options on page 35!

Rentals at the Beach Hut

If you’re headed to the beach, check out the Beach Hut! We make beach set up easy. Located at the Beach Club Beach Access, Beach Hut rentals are first come, first serve.

If you’ve got questions, please give our Activity Center a call at 843-838-1516.The Beach Hut is open from 10am to 7pm between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Credit cards, folio cards, and member cards are gladly accepted.

Equestrian Trail Riding at Camelot Farms One of the most exciting new offerings at Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort is horseback riding at Camelot Farms. Located just a short drive from the resort, this idyllic equestrian center offers a variety of riding experiences for riders of all skill levels.

Whether you’re a seasoned equestrian or a beginner looking to try something new, Camelot Farms has the perfect horse for you. Take a leisurely ride through scenic plantation trails at Coffin Point, or take our beach ride for a more adventurous experience. Whatever you choose, you’re sure to have an unforgettable time.

Coastline Ride

For those with a bit more experience with horses and at least 2 hours to spend with us, we offer a coastline ride to Saint Helena Sound. This is a fun trip for our horses and our guests, as our coast offers a new look with each tide change. We also pass an original Plantation house and beautiful moss-draped trees. $125/rider, advance registration required.

Plantation Ride

Our 1-hour Plantation ride wanders throughout our 62 acre farm, down roads and paths past beautiful old live oak trees and island palms. Depending on the time of the year and the weather conditions, this ride takes you on the edge of the marshlands with its wide expanse full of wildlife. $75/rider, advance registration required.

Day 3

Swing into your Vacation with Full Force Recently named one of the most family-friendly golf destinations in South Carolina by GolfGuide.com, Fripp Island Resort is home to two decidedly different 18-hole layouts. Whichever stunning course you play, you’ll find practice facilities that include a driving range, chipping area, practice bunker, and putting green.

Ocean Creek Golf Course

Ocean Creek is PGA Champion Davis Love III’s first signature course. Four distinct rolling dune lines provide major design elements with ridges climbing as high as 15 feet as they corkscrew across the fairways. Salt marshes and native wetlands also play a key role in the playability and character of Ocean Creek. 843-838-1576

Day 4

Check Out Our Activities Nestled in the trees near the Cabana Club, our Activity Center offers a variety of programming and an up close look at some of the inhabitants of Fripp Island. Feel free to stop in and meet Jim and Pam, our newest native Bob White Quail residents, or check out our alligator enclosure, home to our beloved Jortie! The Activity Center is Camp Fripp headquarters: offering daily activities for ages 3-12. Our friendly staff is here from 8am to 7pm (Monday - Friday, 10am-4pm on weekends) if you’d like to participate in some of our exciting activities, or just to ask questions about the wildlife here.

Fripp Island Conservation

Our staff naturalists work with SCDNR, the Fripp Island Turtle Patrol, and the local Audubon Club to help preserve all of the truly amazing creatures that call Fripp home. We love to educate visitors about these wonderful creatures so drop by and let us tell you all about them and the efforts being used by many to conserve them for future generations.

11 The Activity Center hosts Camp Fripp daily Monday-Friday at the Creek House (located behind the Activity Center on Veranda Beach Drive) from Memorial Day through Labor Day 20 23 weekend. Kids ages 3-12 are eligible for camp. Reservations are highly recommended as we have a limited capacity for campers. In an effort to keep Camp Fripp new, fun and exciting, we took some of our favorite daily themes and expanded them into weeklong programs! Each day campers can expect science, nature, craft, and games stations as well as an hour full of themed programming. For example, during Spa Fripp weeks campers will practice yoga and make stress balls! Each weekly theme will include a Dolphin Cruise Day.You can see our weekly schedule for Camp Fripp on page 25. Note: All children must be bathroom independent (no pullups or diapers). If attending PM camp, campers must be able to swim independently with no floaties or assistance.

AM Camp goes from 9:00 am – 12:00pm, campers aged 3 to 12 are welcome to join us for our morning session only. AM campers will enjoy games, songs, craft, science, nature and weekly themed activities.

A snack is also provided.

PM Camp

PM Camp goes from 9:00 am – 2:00pm, eligible for campers aged 5 to 12. PM campers will enjoy games, songs, craft, science, nature and weekly themed activities during the morning. In the afternoon campers will enjoy lunch and swimming at the Marina Pool.

Day 5

Lounge Poolside There’s no better way to spend the day than at any of our outdoor pool complexes. Whether you’re looking for a family-friendly spot to chill all day, somewhere to work on your lap time, or an adults-only experience, we have five pool complexes that will have you suiting up for a good time!

Cabana Club Complex

Our favorite family location, Cabana Club, is on the south end of the island. Cabana is home to an oval pool (heated seasonally), lagoon pool with misting cave and a kids pool.

Willie’s Wet Bar, Cabana Club Restaurant and Veranda Beach Salon are also in the complex.

The Marina Pool

Located at our marina complex, this pool offers a chance to take a dip while enjoying the scenery. From 12-2pm this pool is Camp Fripp only.

Olympic Pool

Located at the center of the island, near the Beach Club, this pool is just steps away from the beach and includes a baby pool, and lap swims from 8am-9am.

Adult Pool

Also located at the center of the island in the Beach Club Complex, the Adult Pool is for patrons 21 years of age and older. It is the perfect place to relax, have a drink from The Sandbar, and listen to bands play our favorite island tunes.

Ocean Point Pool

Situated across from the Ocean Point Grille and the Ocean Point Golf Links on the North end of the island, this oceanfront pool includes both a baby pool and a pool for mom and dad.

Beach Access

The Fripp Island Property Owners Association (FIPOA) maintains beach access trails. Each access is marked with a wooden sign and offers a path through the dunes. For specific locations, call the FIPOA at 843-838-4155 or visit https://frippislandliving. com/things-to-do/the-beach.

Work on Your Backhand Fripp Island Golf and Beach Resort offers yearround tennis play and instruction on eight soft, fastdry courts. The racquet club also boasts 6 pickleball courts that are popular with all ages. Don’t forget to visit our pro shop featuring the latest men’s and women’s apparel and equipment. There’s so much more to do at Fripp Island Resort than we could ever preview in this booklet; so before you wrap up your time here, make sure you get out and explore! Our island is over 3.5 miles long so there’s lots to see!

Rent a bike and see if you can complete the “Turtles of Tarpon Scavenger Hunt,” take a Shelling Excursion Cruise on the Fripper II, or just enjoy the scenery! There’s so much to explore, and as a barrier island, you’ll never see the same beach twice!

WATER AEROBICS $10/Members, $15/Guests 6-7pm Tuesdays and Thursdays A low-impact but high intensity class designed to improve aerobic capacity, strength & range of motion.Water class is great for anyone that has had previous injuries, back or knee issues, and/or needs a low-impact style class. Each season will have a warm-up done in shallow end of pool, strength component to work the upper & lower body, and cool-down to increase flexibility. Classes will be at the Olympic Pool on Tuesdays and Thursdays. $10/Members, $15/Guests YOGA FLOW 6-7pm Wednesdays This flow class focuses on the fundamental yoga poses that make up a well-rounded yoga practice. 8-9am Fripp Island is Certified Wildlife Habitat and an Audubon Important Area. A variety of birds use our beaches, maritime forests, golf courses, ponds, and marshes. This walking tour will depart from the Activity Center and we will search for wading birds, shore birds, and woodland species. Beginners to expert birders are welcome!

FREE CONSERVATION PROGRAM 4:30pm Tuesdays Do you love Fripp’s wildlife and learning about our natural world? Join our Naturalists to learn how we can make simple changes in our daily routines to help keep our wildlife safe and clean!Meet us at the Activity Center to learn more!

CRABBING & SEINING $12/person 10:00-11:00am Sundays 1:30-2:30pm Fridays For this program, our naturalists will teach you how to use crab drop nets, seine nets, and cast nets. Learn about the different types of fish and crabs that you can catch in Fripp’s coastal waters. If you want to try it out, wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting wet and dirty! This program is catch and release only.This is fun for all ages and does not require a reservation. Advanced Registration is Required, call 843-838-1516 to book your space.

Scheduled May - September. $20/person CREATURES OF THE NIGHT 8:30-9:30pm Thursdays Looking for a fun activity to do at night? Look no further!

Join us on a nature walk to look for all different kinds of night wildlife that we see on the island, including frogs, toads, alligators, raccoons, opossums, bats, and owls. Our naturalists will teach you all about these wonderful animals as you see them! Some flashlights are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.

FREE FEEDING FRENZY 12-1pm Fridays Be sure to stop by the Activity Center on Fridays to see our resident animals get fed!You will get to see our snakes, turtles, and alligator eat their favorite foods; as well as learn about their diets, feeding habits, and how their bodies are designed to eat the way they do. $15/person GATOR WALK 5:30-6:30pm Mondays 9:30-10:30am Thursdays Fripp Island is home to a ton of alligators! First we’ll introduce you to our baby alligator, Jortie. Then our naturalists will take you looking for these prehistoric predators in some of Fripp’s golf course ponds.As we watch for gators you’ll learn all about Fripp’s most awesome apex predator.

ACTIVITY CENTER PROGRAMS ISLAND SAFARI

$15/person 4:30-6pm Come along with our naturalists to explore the natural wildlife that you can find out on Fripp! From alligators, to birds, to fiddler crabs you never know what you will find to learn about.

This trip will depart from the Activity Center via van, so spots are limited. Call ahead to reserve a spot on this island safari!

Scheduled Memorial Day - Labor Day. $50/child JUNIOR NATURALIST 3-4:30pm Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays Do your little ones love animals, nature, and spending time in the outdoors? Join us for our junior naturalist program and spend the afternoon shadowing our naturalists. Each day of the week, we will have a different theme: Garden Day, Reptile 101, Sea Turtle Day, Marsh Madness, Island Investigation, and Nature Golf Cart Bingo. If your 7-12 year old completes all of the junior naturalist programs, they will receive an official Fripp Island Junior Naturalist certificate. Please call ahead to reserve your spot. $50 single/ $75 tandem MARSH KAYAKING 9-11am Mondays and Fridays The best way to experience the winding tidal creeks behind Fripp is by kayak. Share a tandem kayak with a buddy or paddle yourself in a single. On this guided two hour tour we will watch for eagles and ospreys soaring overhead, fiddler crabs and clapper rails walking the mud flats, dolphins splashing on the shore line and so much more! Please call ahead to reserve your spot. Tour departs from the Marina boat ramp.

NATURE CRUISE $80/person 9am-12pm Saturdays Come aboard the Fripper II with our naturalists for a pontoon boat tour of the tidal creeks and islands around Fripp. Learn about Fripp’s history and the creatures you can find in the marsh! For this tour, we will stop at Bull Point on Caper’s Island to comb the beach, so bring along a reusable bag for the shells you find and learn about! $15/team 11am Join our naturalists for a fun game of golf cart bingo! Race around the island and test your knowledge following different nature related clues to fill out your bingo board and win a prize.

This is fun for all ages and does not require a reservation. Guests should meet our naturalists at the Creek House to join in on the fun! Scheduled Memorial Day - Labor Day. SUNSET KAYAKING $60 single/ $80 tandem 6:30-8:30pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays The marsh is arguably the best place around Fripp to watch the sunset. On this guided tour we will look for and discuss the plants and many animals of the salt marsh. Enjoy the peace and serenity of the tidal creeks and watch the colors of the sky and water change. TURTLE MORNING WALK $20/person 8-9am Wednesdays and Thursdays Fripp Island’s beach is an important nesting area for endangered sea turtles. Every summer mama loggerhead sea turtles crawl onto our beach at night and lay hundreds of eggs. Join our naturalists for a morning beach walk to check out some of the nests and to learn everything there is about our awesome sea turtles! Please call ahead of time to reserve your spot. Just a few miles from the Intracoastal Waterway, Fripp Island Marina is ideally located for fishing and boating. The Marina offers dockage, boat storage, boat slip rentals and a loading ramp.

Charter Fishing

Charter services are available with one of our experienced guides to fish as far out as the Gulf Stream. Sailfish, mahi-mahi, barracuda, kingfish, marlin, wahoo, grouper and snapper are plentiful. For inshore fishing, the waters around Fripp Island are teeming with trout, flounder, red drum, cobia, tarpon and Spanish mackerel.

Our rentals are the best way to get around and explore the island.

Rentals are available when you present your Club Guest Card at Island Rentals, which is open daily 8am until 6pm. Call 843-838-1518 for information and for reservations.

Golf Cart Rentals

Golf carts make it easy to get around and explore the island. A valid driver’s license is required for rental.

Standard and limo carts are available. Delivery is available for a fee.

Scooter Rentals

Scooters are available from the Excursions office. A valid driver’s license is required for rental.

Bicycle Rentals

Experience Fripp Island by bicycle. FREE Pick Up and Delivery (4 bike minimum) is provided to Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort guests, when available, with a 24-hour notice.

Kayak Rentals

Tour the Lowcountry salt marsh in one of our kayaks. Single or double kayaks are available to rent by the hour.

Boat Rentals

Carolina Skiffs are available to meet all your fishing and cruising needs. They will accommodate 6 to 8 people, depending on the size of skiff you choose.
