Pine hollow Club
Our Mission
Guided by our Quaker principles, Friends Academy educates our students to discover and develop the best of who they are and who they can become.
Our Belief Statement
We achieve educational excellence by committing to the highest standards of learning and living.
Our diverse and welcoming community is strengthened by our Quaker values, which empower our students to inquire, reflect, and engage in their classrooms, in their neighborhoods, and in the world.
Because when we inspire students to learn and live with purpose, they achieve greatness without sacrificing goodness.
March 21, 2025
Dear Friends.
At Friends Academy, tradition is not just something we honor—it is something we live. Each year, our community comes together to celebrate, support, and strengthen the spirit of our school, and tonight’s Auction is a shining example of that collective dedication.
Now in its 33rd year, the Friends Academy Auction is a treasured tradition—one that reflects the deep generosity, camaraderie, and shared vision that define our school. This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate the leadership of two distinguished alumni, Danielle Valenti Smith ’93 and Jennifer Ryan Woods ’99, who, alongside a dedicated committee, have poured their time, creativity, and passion into making this evening unforgettable. Their love for Friends Academy, rooted in their own experiences as students and now as parents, makes this moment even more special.
We are also deeply grateful to our Dinner Sponsors, Claire and Tony Florence P’21, ’24, ’28, whose extraordinary generosity and commitment continue to inspire us all. Tony, a trustee of Friends Academy, and Claire are parents of three children educated at our school. Their support helps ensure that Friends Academy remains a place where students learn, grow, and thrive.
To all the families, past and present, alumni, local businesses, and friends who contributed through sponsorships, journal ads, and donations—thank you. Your generosity fuels the mission of Friends Academy, strengthening our ability to provide an exceptional, independent Quaker education for students across Long Island and beyond.
This year’s theme, A Grand Affair with Friends: An Evening of Glamour & Giving, speaks to the vibrant energy and unwavering dedication of our school community. As we gather tonight, let us celebrate all that makes Friends Academy extraordinary and raise our paddles in support of its future. Every contribution makes a difference—empowering students, enhancing faculty resources, and enriching the experience of every member of our school.
Thank you for being part of this important evening. Together, we honor our past, celebrate our present, and invest in a future that is brighter than ever.
With warm regards,

Paul J. Stellato Head of School

March 21, 2025
Dear Friends,
As alumni of Friends Academy, this school holds a special place in our hearts. It shaped us, instilled in us the values we cherish, and built a foundation that continues to guide us today. Now, as parents, we are honored to be back, to ensure that our children experience the same sense of purpose, belonging, and community that meant so much to us.
Tonight’s Dinner & Auction is more than just a fundraising event—it is a celebration of the incredible Friends Academy community. It is a testament to the generosity, dedication, and shared commitment of parents, alumni, faculty, and staff who come together to support and strengthen our school. This year’s theme, A Grand Affair with Friends: An Evening of Glamour & Giving, reflects both the elegance of this special night and the spirit of generosity that fuels our mission. We hope you enjoy the new format, designed to give everyone more opportunities to mingle, connect, and enjoy one another’s company.
We are profoundly grateful to our Auction Committee for their tireless efforts in bringing this evening to life. To our faculty, who give of themselves every day and have gone above and beyond to offer unique experiences that showcase their talents—thank you. We would not be here this evening without the unwavering dedication of Diane Biolsi and Marilyn Del Rosso. Their hard work, passion, and commitment have made this night possible. We would also like to thank the Advancement and Communications Departments who helped put this evening’s program together ensuring a memorable experience. And to every family, alumnus, friend, sponsor, and donor who has contributed, your generosity makes a lasting impact on Friends Academy and its students.
Thank you for being part of this remarkable community. We hope you enjoy this special night—An Evening of Glamour & Giving—filled with laughter, connection, and celebration.
With gratitude,
Danielle Valenti Smith ’93 and Jennifer Ryan Woods ’99
