LOVE magazine
Building on from my research into LOVE magazine, I personally believe that the physical magazine will become a thing of the past as a result of the pace at which technology is evolving. Technology is shaping a more simplistic life for future generations and the benefits of digital outweigh the benefits of physical in today’s world. When looking at print in comparison to digital, you can see that print will always fall behind digital as a result of how much more accessible it is.
To further this discussion, magazine print is a concern and doesn’t really befit the future of this industry when thinking about the environment and the irreversible damage of which we as humans have engendered, consumers will pay particular attention to this when subscribing to magazine subscription services, another factor that should be taken into consideration is the time it takes to subscribe to a magazine and to then receive it physically, whereas, for a digital subscription, you can download and open the magazine in a matter of seconds.

With the rise of social media, magazine print is no longer necessary as a result of the free access one can gain to view magazine articles online through publishers websites. To conclude my opinion on the future of magazine print, I would personally say that magazine print is more of a hinderance than an asset in this current climate. “Whenever I shoot a story for a magazine, I see it on Instagram before I ever see it in the actual magazine.”
LOVE magazine in particular have a unique and authentic way of telling stories that sets them apart from other magazines, they have remained ahead of the curb in the world of technology, for example, LOVE could be considered environmentally friendly due to the mere fact that they only release two print copies a year, on top of this, LOVE tell stories beautifully in the digital world, they reveal the hidden details of their stories through film narration.
