Lefdal Mine Datacenter, Rittal and IBM are going to market with a unique data center solution. The facility is the most cost effective, secure, flexible and green data center in Europe. The scalability is unique. There is “unlimited” space, power and cooling. The cooling solution allows a unique high-density environment at leading low cost, and the facility will operate on a PUE of < 1.12 with renewable, low cost power. LMD will be a high secure facility designed to protect society’s critical data.

Rittal has developed a special designed housing solution - “standard module”. These are standardized modules with raised floor, server racks, network racks, PDR and LCP’s. The modules fit into containers, regular whitespace or specially designed security rooms. IBM is offering cutting-edge Cloud-based services designed to store, protect and recover vital business information and processes. Together we have developed “The Norwegian Solution” .

Standardized Housing Solutions Rittal has developed specially designed “Standard Modules” as a housing solution tailor-made for Lefdal Mine Datacenter. The modules consists of server racks, raised floor, LCP’s, PDR racks and network racks. It fits either into IT containers, dedicated data halls or in security rooms. The modules are available in different sizes - 6 to 12

server racks - with densities from 5 to 30 kW/rack. They can be adapted I N+1 or N+N environments. Standardization ensures high quality, lower price and short delivery time. Time to market is 6-8 weeks from purchase order.
