Our History Frensham Hall was built as a family home for the Charrington family in 1898. Its rich history spans two world wars and the site has been privately owned since 1925.

Exquisite detailing throughout softens the grand building, creating an intimate personal space for events of all sizes.

From the elegant balls of the early 1900s to an endless array of modern weddings and events, the warmth and versatility of Frensham Hall lends itself to all.

The Ballroom Both elegant and grand, the majestic Edwardian Ballroom with its intricately carved cornices, pillars and ceilings is the jewel of Frensham Hall. A handsome setting for a formal civil ceremony, extravagant wedding breakfast and indeed an evening disco. The Ballroom is as practical and flexible as it is breathtaking. With doors leading from the Orangerie, Long Gallery, Old Dining Room and the Terrace and Lawn, the Ballroom will be the hub of your magical day.

The Long Gallery The Long Gallery in Frensham Hall really needs to be experienced to be fully appreciated. One wall gives way to a fulllength majestic stained-glass leaded window, while the wall opposite holds a monumental stone fireplace. The walls between are richly panelled and traces of an imposing pipe organ whisper of the room’s history as the private chapel in this stately home.

The Drawing Room An elegantly pretty room, the Drawing Room offers exquisite decorative detailing paired with modern interior styling. The beautiful curved bay window opens up to breathtaking views of the Surrey Hills beyond the Lawns and Terrace. A lovely space for the bride to prepare or simply somewhere for guests to relax and enjoy the day.

The Orangerie Sitting off to the side of the Ballroom with views of the beautiful Surrey Hills, our Orangerie really is one of a kind. Majestic stone and stained glass create a distinct exterior while the interior echoes and reflects the adjacent Ballroom perfectly.

The Walled Garden The magical Walled Garden offers a wonderful location for an intimate outdoor wedding.

Exquisite detailing and a pretty lined walkway frame a beautiful entrance for the wedding party. The raised belvedere cupola creates the perfect stage for wedding vows and beautiful photographs.

The Treehouse The beauty of Frensham Hall really does lie in the wealth of opportunities which allow for the most unique events. Just beyond the main house, nestled on the edge of the woods, sits our magical Treehouse - perfect for an intimate woodland ceremony or as a quirky hub to sit alongside your main event.

The Courtyard Through ornate stone walls, the Courtyard sits just before the main entrance to Frensham Hall. A sheltered, enclosed area, the Courtyard lends itself to traditional grand entrances and exits, but has also hosted a ferris wheel and dodgem cars in its time.

The Lawns & Terrace The Terrace and sweeping Lawns lie along the south facade of Frensham Hall - accessible directly from the Ballroom, Orangerie and reception area. A flexible open space, the Lawns lend themselves to summer games or modern marquees. The Terrace is the perfect place to host drinks and canapés alfresco while soaking in the outstanding view.

Food & Drink Our onsite caterers, Holroyd Howe, will make your culinary dreams come true.

From your first visit, our experienced Chef and Events Manager will work with you to create the perfect menu and catering experience for your event.

With the flexibility and knowledge of a team of experienced staff, any theme or cuisine can be catered for. From full formal wedding breakfasts to evening street food or barbeques, with every dietary requirement considered.

As with all aspects of your wedding at Frensham Hall, we are a blank canvas waiting to bring your dream day to reality. We can create your menu to suit any theme or international cuisine.

Through tasting sessions, you can sample our expertly-prepared dishes quality and presentation will be exactly as on the day.

Everything is prepared onsite using seasonal and local ingredients where possible and our team will be on hand throughout your day to make sure everything goes off without a hitch.

As you and your guests make memories and enjoy every moment of the day, our expertly trained team will be working hard behind the scenes. From meticulous presentation to simultaneous serving (so no guest is left awkwardly waiting for their meal to arrive), we will take care of every detail. Behind the scenes we will be working to timed precision to make sure every element of your day happens as it should.

Although there may be limitations or restrictions along the way, we will do our very best to find solutions before ruling anything out. We are licensed for civil ceremonies in the Ballroom, Long Gallery, Tree House and Walled Garden.

There are capacity limits for each room and procedures to follow with the Registrar in Guildford to book a civil ceremony, but we will help every step of the way.
