Tennis - Adults Beginner Introduction to tennis for adults with no prior instruction and limited play experience. Learn how to rally by week one. The focus of this course will be strokes, rules, and match play.

Pickleball 101 Clinic The City of Fremont is proud to introduce our new Pickleball 101 program! This clinic is meant to introduce players to one of the fastest growing sports in the country! Over the course of this four week program players will learn the fundamentals of volleying, serves, rallying, and shot placement. Each hour and a half lesson will consist of 45 minutes of skill development (instruction, drills, etc.), and 45 minutes of play where students will get to test their newfound skills on the court. Paddles will be provided for use during the class, or students may bring their own. Balls will be provided for the class. All lessons are held at the City of Fremont Tennis Center pickleball courts. Pickleball 201 Clinic The City of Fremont is proud to introduce our new Pickleball 201 program! This clinic is meant to help players who have already participated in our Pickleball 101 program, or who already have experience playing pickleball. Players should already be familiar with basic pickleball terms such as dinking, “the kitchen”, etc. Over the course of this four week program players will continue to grow their skills at volleying, serves, rallying, and shot placement. Each hour and a half lesson will consist of 45 minutes of skill development (instruction, drills, etc.), and 45 minutes of play where students will get to test their skills on the court. Equipment will be provided for use during the class, or students may bring their own. Balls will be provided for the class. All lessons are held at the City of Fremont Tennis Center pickleball courts. Sign up today!

Register Now Nature Tots at the Nursery Explore the wonders around us and engage in the beautiful, magical world of nature. Children 2-6 years old and their caregivers discover ways to explore nature at California Nursery Historical Park each week. Each session will incorporate nature-themed activities which may include stories, music, movement, vocabulary, literacy, math and science skills, and artistic expression. A walking tour takes us on an adventure, practicing observation, investigation, and inquiry. Participants are encouraged to use the skills learned at this class in their own neighborhood park. Jump Start Hoopsters Returning revamped this Winter: Jump Start Hoopsters will continue teaching fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship through gameplay. This 8-week program prepares the beginner through controlled scrimmages focusing on team play and learning rules.

Little Sluggers T Ball League Introduce your little slugger to the game of baseball/softball.

We cover the basics, including how to be part of a team while demonstrating good sportsmanship! No score is kept - everyone is a winner! Each week your child will receive skills training for first 30 minutes followed by 30 minutes of game play, which can start anytime between 9am-12pm. Rege’s Soccer Cup This adapted Soccer League is loosely structured to give players the opportunity to be outside and get active playing soccer through scrimmages and tournament cup themed play! The coaches will reinforce good plays, have breaks, change players on teams and who they play to make sure it is as balanced and fun as possible.

Youth Flag Football League City of Fremont and Fremont Football League are offering Youth Flag Football League for boys and girls. Flag Football is a safe and educational way for youth to enjoy the game of football, while learning sportsmanship, competition, teamwork and the fundamentals. Practice participation is required, for the safety of all players. Practice & Game schedule will be set after teams are formed. Register by February 4th to receive your practice schedule before practices begin the week of February 12th. Be sure to sign up early! CODE FOR FUN Intro to Python with Minecraft

Discover your inner-park ranger and build outdoor skills in this fun-filled week of nature exploration and outdoor experiential learning! This week, the focus is on basic camping skills and outdoor adventures. Students will learn how to set up a tent and shade structure, tie simple knots, wilderness and camping skills, basic fishing skills, and how to read a compass and map. Students will assemble and take home their own survival kit.

Our “Intro to Python with Minecraft” course is an epic coding adventure designed for young programmers aged 10-15. This course utilizes the engaging world of Minecraft to introduce Python coding fundamentals. As students traverse through the virtual landscapes they know and love, they will learn key coding concepts like variables, data types, loops, conditionals, and functions. CITY OF FREMONT RELEASE AGREEMENT FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS IN CONSIDERATION OF PERMISSION TO PARTICIPATE IN OR USE ANY CITY OF FREMONT (hereinafter referred to as “City”) FACILITIES IN CONNECTION WITH THIS ACTIVITY, THE PARTICIPANT AGREES TO THE FOLLOWING: 1. T HE PARTICIPANT HEREBY RELEASES, WAIVES, DISCHARGES AND COVENANTS NOT TO SUE THE CITY OF FREMONT, ITS EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS AND AGENTS (hereinafter referred to as “releasees”) from all liability to the participant, his or her personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin, for any loss, damage, or claim therefore on account of injury to the person, participant’s family member, or property of the participant, whether caused by any negligent act or omission of the releasees or otherwise, while the participant or participant’s family member is participating in a City activity or using any City facilities in connection with the activity.

2. T HE PARTICIPANT HEREBY AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the releasees from all liability, claims, demands, causes of action, charges, expenses, and attorney fees (including attorney fees to establish the releasees’ right to indemnify incurred on appeal) resulting from involvement in this activity, whether caused by any negligent act or omission of the releasees or otherwise.

3. T HE PARTICIPANT HEREBY ASSUMES FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR RISK OF BODILY INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE to self or participant’s family member while upon City property or participating in the activity or using any City facilities and equipment, whether caused by any negligent act or omission of releasees or otherwise. The participant expressly agrees that the foregoing release and waiver, indemnity agreement and assumption of risk, are intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by California law and that if any portion thereof is deemed to be held invalid, notwithstanding, the balance shall continue in full legal force and effect.

I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ THE FOREGOING and I am aware of the legal consequences of this agreement, including the acknowledgement that it prevents me from suing the City or its employees, agents, or officers, if I or my family member is injured or my property is damaged for any reason as a result of participation in this activity. I further acknowledge that no oral representations, statements or inducements have been made.

Registration Policies Requests for withdrawals/transfers can be submitted at www.RegeRec.com.

REFUND POLICY Refunds are allowed if requested up to seven calendar days prior to the start of the activity.

A $10 per class withdrawal fee will be deducted from your refund. Please allow up to four weeks for receipt of refund by check.

TRANSFER POLICY Transfers are allowed up to seven calendar days prior to the start of the class. There is no charge for this service.

CANCELLATIONS We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reasonable cause. Should this happen, your fee will be refunded in full or you may transfer to any open class.

NON-RESIDENT FEES For persons not residing in Fremont, the fee is $5 in addition to the published fee per class.

SENIOR CITIZEN DISCOUNT Seniors (Ages 60+) receive a 10% discount on all classes except those designated for seniors.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE The City of Fremont and many local business and organizations have funded a grant program, which provides financial assistance for Fremont Residents. All requests are kept confidential. For more information about scholarships, please visit Fremont.gov and search scholarships. Donations are tax deductible.
