Jim Gibbons will discuss the sinking of the USS Indianapolis, the horrific fate of the survivors, its effect on history, as well as his family connection to the tragedy. R

One Hundred and Sixty Minutes: The Race to Save the Titanic Wednesday, Aug. 25, 7:00pm

Author William Hazelgrove tells the story of the amazing heroism and astounding incompetence in the race to rescue the Titanic, as more than 28 ships raced to her rescue. R

Your Story Teen Summer Library Club June 1 – July 31

Grades 6-12. Imagine your story by stopping at the Youth Services desk to complete a short activity to spin the prize wheel. Each visit earns you an entry in the Grand Prize raffle for a $100 gift card. After 6 visits you’ll also earn a free book!
