Library Closing To follow Illinois Department of Health guidelines, the Fremont Public Library will close the building to the public on Monday, Nov. 16 until further notice. Materials may still be retrieved by placing them on hold and picking them up via our Curbside Service during the library hours listed above.

The one exception is that we will offer 1-hour computer appointments for Fremont cardholders only. Appointments are limited to one cardholder per day and can be made up to 2 days in advance. To make an appointment, please use chat or call the library during normal business hours.

Craft Kits and Printouts can still be retrieved by using Curbside pick-up. Our virtual program schedule will not change. Librarians are available to answer questions and help pick out materials for you via phone, chat, or email during library hours which are listed at the top of this page.

Senior Connections - So Big

Family Winter Dessert Wars Contest Dec. 7 - 20

Families with children Grade 5 and under. Registration optional. Register by 12/2 to receive a Decorating Kit. Decorate cookies or cupcakes in a wintry style and submit a photo by December 20th! Check our Events Calendar for more details.

Online Teen Programs




Grades 6-12: Snap a reading photo! It could be of you, a friend, family member, or pet reading. Showcase a favorite book or reading spot!

Dec. 7 - 20

The contest runs November 2-22. Winner will receive a $10 gift card to a place of their choice. Include your name, grade, home address, your photo and its title in an email to colson@fremontlibrary.org with the subject line ‘Teen Get Caught Reading Contest’. Limit 1 submission per person. Get caught reading!

Teen Advisory Board •

Grades 6-12. Register. Join us on Zoom! Give your opinion and help brainstorm teen programs and more to earn a service hour. Registration and email address is required to get the Zoom link.
