AQUATICS
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
PARENT TOT - ages 6 months to 3 years old are in the water with a parent while working on acclimating to being in the water.
KINDERSWIM - ages 3-5 years old. Kids will work on water acclimation without a parent. This is a beginning-level class to work on skills with instructor assistance.
LEVEL I - ages 5+ Intro to swimming basics with the assistance of an instructor.
LEVEL II - ages 5+ Work on coordination in the water and adding on the swimming basics with the swimmers becoming independent of the instructor.
LEVEL III - Swimmers have mastered all of the beginning skills independently and now work to swim distances and skills necessary for proper swimming form.
STROKE SCHOOL - Stroke School is an advanced series of swim instruction for youth who are interested in stroke proficiency or swim teams.

50/50 Water Fitness Challenge - We are challenging swimmers, walkers, and water aerobic participants to keep track of the laps (swimmers) and minutes (walkers and water aerobics participants) while they are using the pool.

Toddler Time
Toddler Time is the perfect blend of learning and fun, offering safe, active play for your little ones to run, jump, and explore on our exciting equipment while developing crucial social and motor skills.

Forever Fit
Low impact aerobics, stretching and the use of light hand weights. This class helps keep muscles and bones strong and increases the participant’s balance, coordination and range of motion.
Tai Chi
This class focuses on strengthening the central nervous system and stimulating the cerebal cortex. This helps the brain to rest and relieves certain nervous and mental disease. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing.
Water Aerobics
Active Primetimers Potluck
Join us every month for a delightful potluck meal where everyone brings a dish to share. This event is open to anyone 55 years or older, and you don’t need to be a Y member to participate.

Family Basketball or Dodgeball: Play a friendly game of basketball or dodgeball together. It’s a great way for everyone to stay active and enjoy some friendly competition.

Tennis Courts
Pickleball: Set up a pickleball game! It’s a fun, easy-to-learn alternative to tennis, with a smaller court and slower paced play, making it enjoyable for skill levels, including families.
Tennis Ball Relay Races: Create a series of relay races using tennis b whether balancing one on a racque running cones while bouncing the b It's a great way to blend fitness and fun!
Family Tennis Match: Split into te for a friendly, low-stakes match. Ro partners so everyone gets a chance play with each family member.
Turf Room
Turf Tag: Play a game of tag with a twist. For example, have a "freeze tag" where the person who is "it" can tag others to freeze them, and a family member has to come and unfreeze them. You can mix it up with different types of tags or add obstacles.
Ultimate Frisbee: Bring your friends or family and start a game of Ultimate Frisbee - the exciting team sport where you score by passing a flying disc to teammates in the opposing end zone! All you need is a disc!
Football: Gather your friends or family for an unforgettable football experience in the turf room at the Y - no weather worries, just pure fun! You'll create lasting memories while getting a great workout in this safe, controlled environment.
The Unde Teens and p of video gaming at the Fremont Family YMCA! Every Monday from 6 PM to 9 PM, enjoy playing the latest games on big screens in the Underground.
BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
YMCA Before/After School Friends Club
A structured program for kids in Kindergarten through middle school. Care is available from 6 am to 6 pm, when school is in session. The Y also offers Fundays, which are scheduled throughout the school year when Fremont schools are not in session, or if there is a snow day.
At FFYMCA for Bell Field, Bergan, Cedar Bluffs, Deer Pointe, Grant, Howard, JCAC, Linden, Milliken Park and Trinity Elementary Schools
PROGRAM INFORMATION: Students will be transported to and from their schools via the YMCA bus. The program includes a nutritional snack, recreational fun and games, homework help, and enrichment activities including arts, crafts and STEM projects.
Time: Monday through Friday mornings 6-8 a.m. and afternoons 3:20-6:00p.m.
Ages: Youth in Kindergarten and up - TITLE XX IS ACCEPTED.
Before and Aft
PROGRAM INFORMATION: After school care will be offered to preschool students attending the afternoon session of preschool. There will be no care available during the school day. Scribner/Snyder youth who are enrolled in the Fremont Family YMCA’s After School Friends Club will receive care and supervision until they are picked up at the school by a parent or guardian by no later than 6 p.m.
Time: Monday through Friday, 3:30-6 p.m.
Ages: Youth in pre-kindergarten through middle school
Before/After School Friends Club - Arlington
Time: Monday through Friday, 6-8 a.m. (must have a minimum of six participants for mornings) and 3:20-6 p.m. Morning and afternoon sessions take place at Arlington Public School.
Transportation Only - No Supervision is involved

Ages: For youth in 5th through 8th grades
Schools: Johnson Crossing Academic Center, FPS Middle School, Bergan or Trinity who need to be transported from the YMCA to their schools in the morning or brought back to the YMCA after school that afternoon.
