only strengthen our community ties but also affirm our commitment to making a meaningful impact beyond the game. The alignment between the Board and the Executive team has never been stronger. We have worked as one, with a shared vision and a collective goal — to ensure the Fremantle Dockers are not just a team, but an institution that inspires and leads. contributions ensure that the Fremantle Dockers, continue to be a standard-bearer for excellence. To our players, the men and women who don the purple with pride, this year has been about laying the foundation for a future that is formidable in every sense of the word. With Chris Sutherland set to take the lead as president in 2024, supported by a passionate Board of Directors, the path to greatness is clearly laid out before us. The executive, management and staff have created a culture of excellence and anticipation for future triumphs. Simon Garlick's skilled leadership and our senior coaches, Justin Longmuir and Lisa Webb, supported by their teams, have fostered an environment where every individual can excel. Being formidable is about cultivating a reputation that commands respect. It's about embodying the spirit of strength and capability that makes teams like Geelong or Sydney revered opponents. My message for the season was to be formidable. It was a call to action, an ethos to embrace with every challenge we faced. As I step down from my official duties, I do so knowing that the path we've carved is filled with potential and promise. Thank you, Fremantle Dockers, for the journey, the lessons, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. The legacy of the Club is in capable hands, and I am confident that the future is bright with the promise of continued success.

OVERVIEW Fremantle rounded out their season with a comfortable 37-point win over Hawthorn at the MCG, winning their final home-and-away fixture, something that had never previously been done when playing interstate. After the Hawks kicked the first two, Freo responded to kick eight of the next 10 before half-time to storm to five-goal lead. It was the newest member of the side leading the way again as Tom Emmett impressed with another two goals and 17 disposals up forward, helped by generous midfield supply from Andrew Brayshaw (33 disposals and a goal) and Caleb Serong (32). An even secondhalf display saw Freo cruise to victory in the final term thanks to a goal each from Jye Amiss and Josh Treacy, capping off their strong seasons with three and two respectively.

CARBON FOOTPRINT MEASUREMENT FFC engaged Carbon Neutral to conduct a Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory report to measure the Club’s carbon footprint for Season 2022. The total organisational emissions for scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions is estimated at 6,216.0 t CO2-e. The major emitting activities were the AFL and AFLW teams’ interstate travel (under business travel), and our fans’ transport to games (under use of sold product).

Sustainability is becoming an important part of how we operate as a football Club. The implementation of Anchoring a Sustainable Future has improved our awareness of sustainability and helped introduce ways to deliver more efficient processes. As we embark on our sustainability journey, we are constantly learning and looking to improve the way we do things. With this in mind, we will be updating our plan in 2024 as we commit to leaving a powerful legacy in our community and look to reduce the impact that the Club has on the environment.

*Local Times The Fremantle Football Club respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land, waterways and skies on which we live and play our great game in Perth, the Whadjuk People of the Noongar Boodja and acknowledge their continuing connection to Country and culture. We pay respect to Elders past and present, senior knowledge holders and those following in their footsteps, and extend this respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples across Australia.
