President Mark Bernard Taculog took his oath as Cub President for Rotary Year 2024-2025 before DG Ariel Jersey, District Governor of District 3790 last July 6, 2024 He leads the Magical Team of RC Narvacan working under the theme “The Magic of Rotary”

Kick Off Activity Kick Off Activity

The Rotary Club of Narvacan joined the simultaneous kick-off activity of District 3790 for the RY 2024-2025 through its 'Love our Elderly Project' on July 1, 2023, at Brgy Tangaoan Sta Maria, Ilocos Sur This project aligns with DG Ariel Jersey's goal to spread Rotary's magic by doing service projects under Rotary's seven areas of focus

Many elderly people live on limited incomes, and, unfortunately, they must often choose between paying medical expenses, medicine, or groceries. Some seniors also have little to no family support and face serious medical issues Others also need more mobility or are homebound; thus, access to nutritious food is imperative for survival. It enables seniors to maintain a healthy lifestyle and remain independent, often making our elderly sad and in low spirits

With this project, RC Narvacan made the senior beneficiaries feel essential and recognized for the love and care they once gave After working their entire lives, seniors must meet their basic needs while maintaining dignity and independence

Through this project, the elderly beneficiaries received nutritious food packs, hygiene kits, other daily necessities, and medicines for their health sustenance.

As part of the project, a heartwarming program was organized Rotarians had the privilege of conversing with our elderly beneficiaries while serving them the food they had prepared This personal touch made the experience more meaningful for the beneficiaries and the Rotarians

The 'Love our Elderly Project' is a testament to RC Narvacan's commitment to supporting older people in the community The Club's mission is to let the elderly beneficiaries feel they can live their days with nutritious meals and the comfort of knowing they are never alone because, apart from their families, there are also Rotarians who love and care for them

Here, President Mark Bernard Taculog assumed his new role at the helm of the club, surrounded by the enthusiastic support of fellow Rotarians, district officers, and the cherished family and friends of Rotary members

The atmosphere was indeed one of unity and support, underscoring the deep-seated values of the Rotary community This pivotal occasion also saw the introduction of new club members, as they officially took their oath as Rotarians Their dedication further amplified the spirit of togetherness within the club

The program was a heartwarming gathering that exemplified the bonds between district officers, Rotarians from various other clubs, and the unwaveringly supportive network of family and friends of Rotary members It highlighted the inclusive and welcoming nature of the Rotary community

Learning about the expectations and benefits of Rotary membership early in the process is crucial for prospective members to make well-informed decisions when they are formally invited to join the organization

The concept of "Rotarization" plays a vital role in helping new members fully understand and internalize the values and responsibilities associated with being a part of Rotary To support this goal, RC Narvacan organized a comprehensive Rotarization Day on July 13, 2024 This dedicated event aimed to immerse new members in the organization's principles, provide updates on the rules of Rotary International within the community and ensure that all new members felt fully included and informed

The main speaker for the event was AG Edwin Concepcion Jr , who delivered an enlightening presentation on the essence of Rotary and its farreaching impact
